Some fans in the comments slammed the actress for not discussing the topic of domestic violence, one of the focal points in the movie, more often during her press tour.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is shameful. I don\u2019t understand why everyone\u2019s laughing and no one mentioned domestic violence even once,\u201d one follower wrote, while another added, \u201c\u2018Sitting on the couch dressed up?\u2019 While promoting a movie about DV. So tone deaf and no self awareness.\u201d One user told Blake, \u201cMaybe it wasn\u2019t your intention but misleading audience to believe it was a romcom instead of a DV movie is pretty low.\u201d<\/p>\n
Others blasted Blake for some of her interviews for the movie, as well as resurfaced ones from previous films where she came across as somewhat cold. One featured The Shallows star being interviewed by Norwegian entertainment journalist Kjersti Flaa <\/strong>for 2016\u2019s Cafe Society<\/em>. The reporter congratulated the Blake on her \u201clittle bump,\u201d as she had just revealed her pregnancy. She snarked back to the not-pregnant reporter, \u201cCongratulations on your little bump.\u201d<\/p>\nOne person commented, \u201cSo disappointed in your behavior, glad everyone has seen your true colors,\u201d while another user asked Blake, \u201cNo apology yet for your mean girl interviews?\u201d<\/p>\n
