Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> cohost Alfonso Ribeiro<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about his recent weight loss diet \u2014 and it didn\u2019t involve the gym.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s called a Repair Bite Diet. It\u2019s designed to basically shore up your gut and your stomach lining,\u201d Ribeiro, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on Wednesday, September 4. \u201cThe foods that you\u2019re allowed to eat are all foods that are basically not inflammatory foods. So your body just slims down without having to do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ribeiro explained that he didn\u2019t hit the gym once. \u201cTwenty pounds, one month. No gym,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s how you do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ribeiro joked that he doesn\u2019t \u201cwant anybody to know\u201d about his weight loss method. \u201cThat\u2019s my secret. That\u2019s my stuff,\u201d he quipped. \u201cI don\u2019t want everybody looking good.\u201d<\/p>\n

(After winning season 19 of the competition in 2014 with Witney Carson<\/strong>, Ribeiro was announced as a cohost<\/a> during season 31 in 2022.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel so great that I have her with me as cohost,\u201d he gushed to Us<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s always a new show because there\u2019s a new cast, right? New story lines. The energy\u2019s always different.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ribeiro gushed that his first impression of the season 33 cast has been \u201cfantastic.\u201d The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air<\/em> alum noted that \u201ca lot\u201d of the \u201cgreat pros\u201d \u2014 including Rylee Arnold, Jenna Johnson<\/strong> and reigning champion Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong> \u2014 will be hitting the ballroom alongside their celebrity counterparts.<\/p>\n

But Ribeiro is not sure which pairing will be crowned the newest winners<\/a> of the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy this year.<\/p>\n

The full cast of the ABC reality competition show\u2019s upcoming season was announced on the Wednesday, September 4, episode of Good Morning America. \u201cI think that this is one of the few seasons where there really isn\u2019t an automatic front-runner,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know who\u2019s gonna be a good dancer or not, right? So it\u2019s kind of like on our premiere night on the 17th, it\u2019s gonna be like, \u2018Here you go. Who\u2019s great?\u2019 We don\u2019t know! It\u2019s going to be great.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cast, which includes former Bachelor Joey Graziadei<\/strong>, former Bachelorette<\/a> Jenn Tran<\/strong> and Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em> alum Tori Spelling<\/strong>, among many others, is \u201creally fun,\u201d Ribiero added.<\/p>\n
