Verizon\u2019s next big acquisition might be Frontier. Reports from The Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a> and Bloomberg<\/em> suggest<\/a> that Verizon is in \u201cadvanced talks\u201d to acquire the communications provider, with a potential announcement coming as soon as this week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Joining forces with Frontier could help Verizon expand its fiber footprint \u2014 by clawing back some of its old Fios subscribers.
