Taraji P. Henson<\/strong><\/a> joked that the \u201cbiggest pimps are in Hollywood\u201d while reflecting on her performance at the 2006 Oscars.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on the Tuesday, September 3, episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em><\/a>, Henson was asked what she remembers about her rendition of \u201cIt\u2019s Hard Out Here for a Pimp\u201d at the 78th Academy Awards<\/a>. Henson, 53, and Three 6 Mafia performed the track \u2014 taken from the Oscar-winning movie Hustle & Flow<\/em> \u2014 live as it was nominated for and won Best Original Song.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was crazy,\u201d Henson recalled to host Jimmy Fallon<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cFirst of all, I\u2019m singing about pimps and hoes. It was pretty surreal. I had to look above the crowd otherwise I would have frozen going as hard out [as I did].\u201d<\/p>\n

Henson remembered the A-list audience having their \u201cfist in the air,\u201d noting, \u201cHelen Mirren<\/strong>, everybody was like, \u2018Yeah, it\u2019s hard out here!\u2019 And I was like, \u2018What in the world are we doing?\u2019 It was great!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a party!\u201d Fallon added.<\/p>\n

The Oscar nominee then quipped, \u201cThe biggest pimps are in Hollywood!\u201d<\/p>\n
