The stars of Queer<\/strong><\/em> are making waves at the 2024 Venice Film Festival<\/a>!<\/p>\n Daniel Craig<\/a> and Drew Starkey<\/a> joined director Luca Guadagnino<\/a> for a photo op on Tuesday (September 3, 2024) in Venice, Italy.<\/p>\n Their co-stars Omar Apollo<\/a>, Lesley Manville<\/a>, and Jason Schwartzman<\/a> also showed up for the event.<\/p>\n The movie’s plot goes like this: \u201cSet in 1950s Mexico City, Queer<\/em> follows William Lee (Craig), an American expat in his late 40s, as he leads a solitary life amidst a small American community.<\/p>\n However, the arrival in town of Eugene Allerton (Starkey), a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked about intimate scenes with Drew, Daniel said, \u201cYou know as well as I do, there’s nothing intimate about filming a sex scene on a movie set. There’s a room full of people watching you. We just wanted to make it as touching and as real and as natural as we possibly could. Drew is a wonderful, fantastic, beautiful actor to work with and we kind of had a laugh.
