\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The cast of the film, Queer<\/em><\/strong>, is doing promo work at the 2024 Venice Film Festival<\/em>!<\/p>\n Stars Daniel Craig<\/strong><\/a> and Drew Starkey<\/strong><\/a> posed with director Luca Guadagnino<\/strong><\/a> at the event on Tuesday (September 3) in Venice, Italy.<\/p>\n They were joined by their co-stars Omar Apollo<\/strong><\/a>, Lesley Manville<\/strong><\/a>, and Jason Schwartzman<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the movie\u2019s synopsis: \u201cSet in 1950s Mexico City, Queer follows William Lee (Craig<\/strong>), an American expat in his late 40s, as he leads a solitary life amidst a small American community. However, the arrival in town of Eugene Allerton (Starkey<\/strong>), a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.\u201d<\/p>\n Daniel <\/strong>was asked about intimate scenes with Drew<\/strong>, which he said<\/a>, \u201cYou know as well as I do, there\u2019s nothing intimate about filming a sex scene on a movie set. There\u2019s a room full of people watching you. We just wanted to make it as touching and as real and as natural as we possibly could. Drew <\/strong>is a wonderful, fantastic, beautiful actor to work with and we kind of had a laugh.
