It was a glamorous date night for Lady Gaga<\/strong><\/a> and her fianc\u00e9, Michael Polansky<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday, September 2, the couple arrived via boat to the premiere of Joker: Folie \u00e0 Deux<\/i> at the Venice International Film Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gaga, 38, who stars in the hotly anticipated Joker <\/i>sequel, sported a black minidress with white polka dots, sheer black tights and black heels. She wore her long, platinum blond hair pulled back in a half updo, and though it was evening, she accessorized her look with opaque black sunglasses. Polansky, 46, donned dark shades as well to complete his all-black outfit.<\/span><\/p>\n

After docking at Hotel Cipriani, the twosome were photographed kissing and holding hands. Polansky stepped to the side as Gaga snapped a selfie with a fan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two months after the pair were seen spending New Year\u2019s Eve 2020 together in Las Vegas, Us Weekly exclusively confirmed that Polansky attended Gaga\u2019s Super Bowl performance. Gaga (whose real name is Stefani Germanotta) and Polansky celebrated their [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier this summer, Gaga confirmed her engagement<\/span><\/a> to the businessman while attending the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Footage shared via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on July 28 showed her speaking to Gabriel Attal<\/strong>, the Prime Minister of France, and introducing Polansky as \u201cmy fianc\u00e9, Michael.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Gaga sparked engagement rumors in April when she was spotted in West Hollywood wearing a giant diamond on her left ring finger. She and Polansky were first linked in December 2019 and subsequently quarantined together during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. The following year, she told The Hollywood Reporter <\/i>that her \u201cdogs and the man that I love are my whole life.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, in early 2023 rumors began to circulate that she and Polansky had hit a rough patch in their partnership. That November, a<\/span>\u00a0exclusively told Us<\/i><\/span><\/a> that the pair had faced \u201csome issues\u201d but were back on track. \u201cThey\u2019re in a much better place<\/span><\/a> now and feel comfortable socializing as a couple,\u201d the insider shared.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gaga has experienced highs and lows in her love life<\/a> over the years, ending two engagements before connecting with Polansky. Her splits from ex-fianc\u00e9s Taylor Kinney<\/strong> and Christian Carino<\/strong> inspired her to \u201ctake it slow\u201d with Polansky, a source previously told Us<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not long after Joker director Todd Phillips confirmed he would be writing and directing a sequel, Gaga confirmed her casting by sharing a video of her and Phoenix\u2019s silhouettes dancing via Instagram. \u201cJoker: Folie \u00e0 Deux,\u201d she captioned the August 2022 post. \u201c10.04.24.\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201c[He] brings real stability to her life,\u201d the source said of Polansky in January 2021, adding that the couple were \u201cbeyond smitten with each other\u201d and that Gaga\u2019s \u201cfame\u201d was of no interest to him. \u201cWhen they\u2019re together, they are always touching, giggling and it\u2019s obvious they really love each other,\u201d the insider noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Professionally, Gaga returns to the big screen as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie \u00e0 Deux<\/i>, which hits theaters on October 4. The ensemble cast includes Joaquin Phoenix<\/strong>, Brendan Gleeson<\/strong>, Catherine Keener<\/strong> and Zazie Beetz<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ahead of the film\u2019s release, casting director Francine Maisler<\/strong> revealed<\/a> that Gaga wasn\u2019t her first choice for Quinn, crediting director Todd Phillips<\/strong> with the idea to cast her opposite Phoenix, 49, who plays the titular supervillain.<\/span><\/p>\n
