\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Brad Pitt<\/strong><\/a> recently sold his Los Angeles estate for about $40 million and we\u2019re learning some details about the generous things he\u2019s done with the property over the years.<\/p>\n The 59-year-old actor first bought the 1.9-acre property back in 1994 and it was just $1.7 million back then. <\/p>\n Brad <\/strong>bought the home from Elvira, Mistress of the Dark<\/em> star Cassandra Peterson<\/strong> and she ended up buying the home next door and lived next to him for years. Eventually, Brad<\/strong> expanded his estate by buying a lot of the neighboring homes.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think there were like 22 houses houses that were contiguous to the edge of the property. And every time they came up he bought one,\u201d Peterson<\/strong> told People<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n One of the homes that Brad <\/strong>purchased was occupied by a man in his nineties who had recently been widowed.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was very, very kind to the husband. His wife passed away and the husband, John<\/strong>, lived there,\u201d she continued. \u201cI know that Brad<\/strong> allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died. It was kind of funny because John <\/strong>lived to be 105.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI imagine Brad <\/strong>was thinking well, you know, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n
