The singer, 53, hailed the rapper\u2019s talent on Saturday (31.08.24), a day after he collapsed while performing at Hamden Town Center Park in Connecticut, before he was rushed to hospital and died aged 53.<\/p>\n
Missy said on X after his death was confirmed by his tour manager: \u201cPrayers for Fatman Scoop family for STRENGTH during this difficult time (praying hands emoji.)\u201d<\/p>\n
Missy worked with Scoop on her hit 2005 single \u2018Lose Control\u2019, and added<\/p>\n
added alongside a photo of her late friend dressed in all-white: \u201cFatman Scoop\u2019s VOICE and energy have contributed to MANY songs that made the people feel HAPPY and want to dance for over 2 decades.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYour IMPACT is HUGE and will be NEVER be forgotten\u2026 (flying dove and praying hands emojis.)\u201d<\/p>\n
\nScoop was born Issac Freeman III and his family have also posted an online tribute to the performer.<\/p>\n
\nThey posted on his Instagram on Saturday to confirmed with \u201cprofound sadness and very heavy hearts\u201d the \u201clegendary and iconic\u201d had died.<\/p>\n
\nHis family also hailed him as a \u201cradiant soul\u201d and \u201cbeacon of light\u201d onstage, adding: \u201cFatManScoop was not just a world class performer, he was a father, brother, uncle and a friend.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe was the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength, and courage.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThey also said he was \u201cknown to the world as the undisputed voice of the club\u201d, and continued: \u201cHis music made us dance and embrace life with positivity. His joy was infectious and the generosity he extended to all will be deeply missed but never forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nScoop\u2019s family also said they now wanted to \u201ccelebrate his remarkable life and the countless lives he touched\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
