The \u2018Wonderwall\u2019 songwriter, 57, made the claim on Saturday (31.08.24) after he and Liam announced Oasis would be reforming for a series of comeback gigs in 2025 \u2013 and as fans waited in online queues for hours to buy up tickets for the shows.<\/p>\n
He was in London store Stone Island when he was approached by a father and his children who then started to grill Noel on why he and Liam fought so much before their infamous 2009 bust-up in Paris led to the band breaking up.<\/p>\n
A clip of the interaction posted to X by Steve Sheward shows him explaining who Noel was to his kids.<\/p>\n
He is heard saying: \u201cThis is Noel, that\u2026 this is dad\u2019s legendary band.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHis daughter then asks: \u201cWait, is he getting back with his brother?\u201d \u2013 before one of the fan\u2019s sons asks Noel: \u201cWhy did you fall out with your brother?\u201d <\/p>\n
\nNoel laughed as he replied: \u201cWhy did I fall out with him?\u201d <\/p>\n
\nWhen he noticed one of the kids was clutching a soft Winnie-the-Pooh toy, the rocker added: \u201c\u2019Cause he stole my teddy bear. I\u2019m not lying. He stole it. 1978.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe boy holding the stuffed bear then tells Noel: \u201cYou\u2019re fake, see you\u201d \u2013 leaving the musician and the fan laughing.<\/p>\n
\nLiam, 51, has previously said he believes Noel harboured hatred for him for years after he drunkenly peed on his stereo equipment when they were growing up in Manchester.<\/p>\n
\nOasis announced on Tuesday (27.08.24) they were reforming for a string of stadium concerts \u2013 15 years after the Gallagher brothers famously broke up after a backstage argument at Paris\u2019 Rock en Seine festival.<\/p>\n
\nThe brothers said in a statement about their comeback: \u201cThe guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThey added in an Instagram post about their reunion: \u201cThis is it, this is happening.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
