The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional – who has four-year-old son Matteo with wife Nikki Garcia – was arrested by the Napa County Sheriff\u2019s Office last week and booked into Napa County Jail before being released later that day after being given $25,000 bail.<\/p>\n
Speaking on her podcast, ‘Sex, Lies and Spray Tans’, Cheryl said: “I hesitate to smile right now because of the current news…which I am in complete shock about.<\/p>\n
“We used to live together in my family’s home in the Bay Area. It’s so shocking. I get kind of emotional. My heart goes out to everyone involved.<\/p>\n
“It’s just really hard for me because he was \u2014 he’s my family. I don’t know what to say here other than I hope everybody’s okay.” <\/p>\n
\nArtem, 42, was booked on a felony domestic violence charge, penal code 273.5(a), which makes it \u201cillegal to injure a spouse, cohabitant or fellow parent in an act of domestic violence”, and states an apparent injury must be visible.<\/p>\n
\nOfficials have not disclosed any further information about Artem’s arrest or the alleged victim.<\/p>\n
\nHenry Wofford, Napa County Sherrif’s Office’s public information officer, told Variety: \u201cWe will always protect our victims. We understand why people want to know the name. But we\u2019re treating it just like every other domestic violence case.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, earlier this week, Nikki and Artem celebrated their second wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n
\nThe ‘Total Bellas’ star shared a video of clips from their five-year relationship, alongside the lyrics to Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ in the caption.<\/p>\n
\nShe also wrote: \u201cThis song is our love story. I\u2019ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Having a conversation with He + God.<\/p>\n
\n“How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast. And then this song came on. And that\u2019s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cHappy Anniversary @theartemc I love you!(sic)”<\/p>\n
\nAnd Artem posted: \u201cHappy anniversary my love, can\u2019t see my life with out you. You are my everything [heart emoji]\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
