After Brittany Cartwright<\/strong><\/a> filed for divorce from Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a>, the couple made plans to untangle their joint \u201cWhen Reality Hits\u201d podcast<\/a> venture.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoving forward, Jax and I will be doing the podcast separately,\u201d Cartwright, 35, said during the Friday, August 30, episode, while addressing her divorce filing<\/a>. \u201cThank you all for the support. I love you very much and I hope you enjoy an episode that has some of our best memories together from the past. Just hang in there with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/i>confirmed earlier this week that Cartwright filed for divorce from<\/a> Taylor, 45, after five years of marriage. She listed their official date of separation as January 24, one month before confirming on the podcast that they were living apart, and cited the split reason as irreconcilable differences. Cartwright is also seeking primary legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old son, Cruz.<\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s episode was the first time Cartwright, who served Taylor with the divorce papers while cameras were rolling<\/a> on Bravo\u2019s The Valley, <\/i>publicly discussed the legal end of her marriage.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright\u2019s love story wasn\u2019t exactly a fairy tale leading to their 2024 divorce. Taylor met Cartwright in between seasons 3 and 4 of Vanderpump Rules in the spring of 2015. Fans watched Cartwright move to Los Angeles to be with Taylor during season 4 of the reality series. \u201cI unfortunately can\u2019t speak to details since everything has been heavily documented on the show since we happen to be filming right now,\u201d she said, holding back tears. \u201cYou will see how everything plays out once the show airs, but I will say this: this season has been the most difficult season I have ever had to film. I never imagined I\u2019d go through something so personal and painful while having the world watch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cartwright further shut down claims that her divorce was a \u201cpublicity stunt\u201d to drum up ratings for the upcoming season 2<\/a> of The Valley.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the furthest thing from that. My decision to file wasn\u2019t made lightly or quickly,\u201d Cartwright said. \u201cIt\u2019s taken me many, many years to get to this point where I gained enough courage and strength to do what\u2019s best for me, get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth.\u201d<\/p>\n
