Viewers of The Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em><\/a> may have noticed Margaret Josephs<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 slimmer figure on season 13 of the Bravo hit \u2014 and she\u2019s finally revealing her weight loss secrets.<\/p>\n Josephs told Insider<\/a> in April 2023 that she takes GLP-1 agonist injections.<\/p>\n \u201cI take them as a shot once a week, and that helps you lose weight and improves your metabolism,\u201d she said, noting that she\u2019s not on Ozempic but declining to reveal the name of the drug. \u201cEveryone is like, \u2018Marge, you look great,\u2019 although some of my costars think some of my weight loss is not a great idea. But I think it\u2019s ridiculous. I think it\u2019s whatever works for me.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cI wasn\u2019t familiar with GLP-1s when I started taking them. But as far as I was concerned, it\u2019s a peptide that\u2019s already in your body, and it evens out your blood sugar.\u201d<\/p>\n During a chat with People<\/em><\/a> that same month, Josephs noted that she\u2019d dropped 22 pounds since 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m 126 pounds now, give or take a pound depending on the day \u2014 and I haven\u2019t been that weight since I got married the first time in 1994,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cMy swelling has gone down in my arm. My skin\u2019s gotten tighter. My bones stronger. I\u2019m sleeping better, I have more energy. Not to get into the dirty details, but I\u2019m very good sexually, thanks to the hormones. And I\u2019m back to a weight that feels natural for me. So, it\u2019s all been very positive for me. I feel great; more than anything, I feel great.\u201d<\/p>\n Josephs, who was previously married to ex Jan Josephs<\/strong> from 1994 to 2013, has been married to Joseph Benigno<\/strong><\/a> for a decade.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s only one problem. Joe is actually upset I have lost these 20 pounds,\u201d she quipped at the time. \u201cJoe loves to sleep with a meaty girl, and I had a breast reduction and now my boobs are tiny, my butt\u2019s tiny \u2014 I\u2019m not his ideal body type anymore! Too bad, Joe!\u201d<\/p>\n Josephs added that she\u2019d \u201cnever been so healthy,\u201d explaining: \u201cI went to my regular doctor, they were like, \u2018This is the best your blood work has ever looked!\u2019 I got the top rate on my life insurance. It\u2019s really been incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n While her costar Jackie Goldschneider<\/strong><\/a>, who has been open about struggling with an eating disorder for decades<\/a>, slammed the trend of losing weight loss drugs<\/a> in February 2023, cast member Dolores Catania<\/strong> confessed she<\/a> also had help dropping weight.<\/p>\n \u201cI wasn\u2019t going to come to the reunion looking any bigger than anyone else, so I got on the bandwagon,\u201d Catania said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em> in April 2023, adding that she was \u201cactually [taking] Mounjaro,\u201d which she called \u201canother part\u201d of the Ozempic umbrella. \u201c[I\u2019m] just not hungry [on it].\u201d<\/p>\n
