Nicole Kidman<\/strong><\/a> is at the 2024 Venice Film Festival<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n The 57-year-old Oscar-winning actress attended the press conference for her new movie Babygirl<\/em><\/strong> alongside co-stars Harris Dickinson, Antonio Banderas<\/strong><\/a>, and Sophie Wilde<\/strong><\/a> along with director Halina Reijn<\/strong><\/a> on Friday (August 30) in Venice, Italy.<\/p>\n The erotic thriller follows Nicole<\/strong> as a high-powered CEO, who puts her life\u2019s work on the line when she begins an affair with a much younger intern.<\/p>\n During the press conference, Nicole<\/strong> explained why she felt filming Babygirl<\/em> was \u201cfreeing.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cThe film is obviously, yes, about sex, it\u2019s about desire, it\u2019s about your inner thoughts, it\u2019s about secrets, it\u2019s about marriage, it\u2019s about truth, power, consent,\u201d Nicole<\/strong> shared, according to Deadline<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is one woman\u2019s story, and I hope a very liberating story,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt\u2019s told by a woman through her gaze\u2026 and that\u2019s to me what made it so unique was that suddenly I was going to be in the hands of a woman with this material and it was very deep to share those things and very freeing.\u201d <\/p>\n Nicole<\/strong> went on to say that her connection with Babygirl<\/em> \u201cis that I want to examine human beings, I want to examine women on screen, I want to examine what it means to be human in all the facets of that\u2026 But this definitely leaves me exposed and vulnerable and frightened when it\u2019s given to the world, but making it was delicate and intimate and very, very deep.\u201d<\/p>\n Also during the press conference, Harris<\/strong>, 28, gave a special shout-out to the movie\u2019s intimacy coordinator, who \u201cbroke the unnecessary barrier around what you have to do\u2026 Ultimately, it\u2019s choreography\u2026 It\u2019s really nerve-wracking constructing a scene anyway, so if you add something intimate to it, it\u2019s very vulnerable.\u201d <\/p>\n Babygirl<\/em> will be released on Dec. 25.
