The ‘Anyone But You’ actor is making waves in Hollywood, with upcoming roles in the likes of Edgar Wright movie ‘The Running Man’, and Hulu comedy series ‘Chad Powers’.<\/p>\n
\nGeorge Clooney recently insisted that major studios have shifted how they work in a way which limits Hollywood’s ability to make A-list movie stars.<\/p>\n
\nHe told GQ magazine: “They haven\u2019t developed stars the way the studio system used to.<\/p>\n
\n\u201c[Brad Pitt and I] kind of were at the very end of that, where you could work at a studio and do three or four films, and there was some plan to it.<\/p>\n
\n“And I don\u2019t think that\u2019s necessarily the case anymore. So it\u2019s harder for you to sell somebody something on the back of a star.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actor-turned-director, 63, is still one of Hollywood\u2019s most bankable stars and has helmed a string of critically acclaimed movies, and he recently jokingly hit out at Quentin, 61, who said \u201csome s***\u201d about his Hollywood status.<\/p>\n
\nGeorge \u2013 who starred alongside Quentin in Robert Rodriguez\u2019s 1996 vampire comedy-horror \u2018From Dusk Till Dawn\u2019 \u2013 told the September issue of GQ magazine: \u201cQuentin said some s*** about me recently, so I\u2019m a little irritated by him.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about (Brad Pitt), and somebody else, and then this guy goes, \u2018Well, what about George?\u2019 He goes, \u2018He\u2019s not a movie star\u2019. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd then he literally said something like, \u2018Name me a movie since the millennium\u2019. <\/p>\n
