Michael Madsen<\/a>‘s domestic violence case has been thrown out.<\/p>\n

Michael Madsen won’t be charged<\/p>\n

The \u2018Reservoir Dogs\u2019 star was taken into custody in Malibu, California, on 17 August and arrested on a charge of misdemeanour domestic battery following an incident with his 64-year-old estranged wife DeAnna, but the Los Angeles District Attorney has now told TMZ the case has been declined for filing due to insufficient evidence.<\/p>\n

And the 66-year-old actor is “thrilled” with the news.<\/p>\n

His spokesperson told the outlet: “We are thrilled that Michael Madsen<\/a> is able to put this behind him and look forward to our continued collaboration with more great things coming from this veteran and respected actor.”<\/p>\n

Following Michael’s arrest, his lawyer insisted the veteran actor was “definitely not guilty” of domestic abuse.<\/p>\n

\nThe legal representative told The Hollywood Reporter Michael had \u201cconfronted\u201d DeAnna and \u201casked her to leave\u201d the house, saying the couple are facing an \u201congoing problem\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nThe attorney added: \u201cMichael has shown immense compassion and restraint during this period towards his estranged wife. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cHe\u2019s definitely not guilty of domestic violence.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nDeAnna also told The Hollywood Reporter: \u201cMichael is struggling with his own personal issues. Myself and our children have been supporting him to the best of our ability. We would request privacy at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nArrest records show Michael was released on bail set at $20,000 and a representative for the actor said on 19 August the \u2018Kill Bill\u2019 star had returned home.<\/p>\n

\nThe spokesperson added to People: \u201cIt was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe Los Angeles Sheriff\u2019s Department has said deputies responded to a call just after midnight on 17 August after they were warned a \u201cfemale adult\u201d had alleged her \u201chusband pushed her and locked her out of their residence\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nThey added in a statement: \u201cThe investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Court House for filing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nTwice-divorced Michael has been married to DeAnna since 1996, and The Hollywood Reporter has stated the couple separated after their 26-year-old son Hudson took his life in January 2022.<\/p>\n

\nThe couple are also parents to Luke and Kalvin, while Michael also has Christian, Max, and Jessica from previous relationships.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
