(Photo via Getty)<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Photo by Slaven Vlasic\/Getty Images for Daily Mail)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"h-jax-taylor-amp-brittany-cartwright-s-divorce-official\">Jax Taylor &amp; Brittany Cartwright\u2019s Divorce Official<\/h2>\n<p>Brittany Cartwright officially filed for divorce from Jax Taylor just before Labor Day in 2024. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/08\/27\/celebrity-news\/brittany-cartwright-files-for-divorce-from-jax-taylor-after-5-years-of-marriage\/?utm_source=sailthru&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=pagesix_news_alert&amp;utm_content=20240827?&amp;utm_source=sailthru&amp;lctg=656f618a1d32ee5cab058641&amp;utm_term=P6%20-%20News%20Alerts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Court documents<\/a> filed Tuesday August 26 in Los Angeles  show that \u201cThe Valley\u201d star filed for the dissolution of marriage with a minor child, according to<em> Page Six.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and the date of separation as Jan. 24, 2024, a day before her birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Brittany initially announced the separation on their joint podcast\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/when-reality-hits-with-jax-and-brittany\/id1678330734?i=1000647572424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">When Reality Hits<\/a><\/em> back in February. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship,\u201d she shared during the Feb. 29 episode. \u201cI just think it\u2019s important to be real and honest with you guys because we\u2019ve shared so much of our lives with you guys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But why? What has changed between the pair? Brittany answers that too. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn my last podcast I alluded to many marriages go through rocky times,\u201d Brittany, who shares 2-year-old son\u00a0<strong>Cruz<\/strong>\u00a0with Jax, continued. \u201cYes, marriages in general are very hard and I\u2019ve had a particularly rough year this past year. Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Moving out? A rough year? Something tells us the <em>Vandepump<\/em> spinoff, <em>The Valley,<\/em> which will star Jax and Brittany just got a whole lot more interesting! <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-jax-taylor-amp-brittany-cartwright-swore-divorce-would-not-happen-happen\">Jax Taylor &amp; Brittany Cartwright Swore Divorce Would Not Happen Happen!<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cWe would never get divorced, we don\u2019t believe in that. Not sure [why] people are saying that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This was the response Jax gave to a commenter on Instagram back in December 2022. He has so far not made a statement about his split from Brittany after the news of the paper being filed. <\/p>\n<p>In the docs, Brittany asked the judge to waive spousal support for her and Jax. (Photo via Getty)<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Photo Credit: Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"h-the-signs-were-all-there\">The Signs Were All There<\/h2>\n<p>Prior to Jax\u2019s comment above, Brittany hadn\u2019t appeared on Jax\u2019s Instagram page since July, which is sort of strange, considering the fact that dude posts constantly.<\/p>\n<p>Then, out of the blue, the the happy couple were all smiles in a photo of them  at a People\u2019s Choice Awards after party.<\/p>\n<p>Fans were quick to comment on the sudden reappearance of Brittany, with many taking it as a sign that the divorce rumors were bogus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou two look incredible together! Please tell me the divorce rumors are false! You belong together [red heart emoji],\u201d one person wrote. (Photo via Getty)<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Getty)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>A month after that award show, the duo\u2019s talked about their marriage on their podcast,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/when-reality-hits-with-jax-and-brittany\/id1678330734\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">When Reality Hits with Jax &amp; Brittany<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>They were quick to insist that they were making things work in their marriage and that they would continue to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Because there was no other choice. <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-4\">\u201cWe would always hear when we got married, people were like, \u2018They\u2019ll be together for one year,\u2019 or whatever. Now we\u2019ve been together for eight years, almost married for four. We\u2019re trucking through,\u201d Brittany said on the podcast. <\/p>\n<p>Jax took things a step further. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t believe in divorce. My parents didn\u2019t get divorced,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t believe in that.
