You know you love her! Leighton Meester<\/a><\/strong> may be best known for her role as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl<\/em><\/a>, but the Texas native\u2019s resum\u00e9 is a lot more impressive than that. In fact, Leighton\u2019s first acting gig dates all the way back to a 1999 episode of Law & Order<\/em>.<\/p>\n From there, she snagged a series of consistent roles leading up to Gossip Girl<\/em> in 2007. Leighton played the Upper East Side villain for 121 episodes until the CW series came to an end in 2012.<\/p>\n Thanks to the popularity of streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max<\/a>, a whole new generation of viewers are falling in love with Blair Waldorf (and of course, Leighton) all over again. After all, she may have not been the protagonist of the show, but she certainly made it worth watching.<\/p>\n In 2018, Leighton, who is now married to The OC<\/a><\/em>\u2018s Adam Brody<\/strong><\/a>, opened up about her experiences on the teen drama. \u201cI was young when I started\u00a0Gossip Girl.<\/em> A lot more people were suddenly around, and I was being looked at,\u201d she told Porter<\/em> magazine<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you don\u2019t have the right perspective, you could definitely be confused by people being that nice to you or judging you for behavior that\u2019s typical of a 20-, 21-year-old \u2026 making mistakes but having to make them very publicly,\u201d Leighton continued. \u201cI\u2019m not haunted by that time, but it\u2019s been interesting and helpful for me to look at it and examine it as an adult and go, \u2018I don\u2019t know if it was the healthiest environment.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Ultimately, the proud parent, who shares two children with Adam, \u201cwouldn\u2019t trade\u201d her role on Gossip Girl<\/em> \u201cfor anything,\u201d but that doesn\u2019t mean Leighton is itching for a reunion anytime soon. \u201cIt\u2019s sort of a time capsule,\u201d she expressed. \u201cA lot of the questions that come from it are: \u2018Do you miss it?\u2019 \u2018Did you love what you wore?\u2019 And I understand that, but \u2014 and I say this with nothing but love \u2014 it is like saying, \u2018High school was an amazing time for you, do you wish you could go back?\u2019 And the truth is, it was so special and such a unique, amazing experience, but no, I wouldn\u2019t wanna go back to it \u2014 I was a kid!\u201d<\/p>\n Thankfully, Leighton has gone on to do plenty of incredible things since then!<\/p>\n
