The Oscar-winning actress, 86, has spent years being protective of Jennifer, and after the singer filed to divorce Ben, 52, on Tuesday (20.08.24) alerts she raised about their romance have resurfaced that she first shared in J Lo\u2019s 2022 documentary \u2018The Greatest Love Story Never Told\u2019.<\/p>\n
Jane is seen in the film first stressing she \u201creally, really, really\u201d wanted the couple\u2019s relationship to \u201cwork\u201d and saying she was \u201cinvested\u201d in its success.<\/p>\n
But she warned: \u201cIt feels too much like you\u2019re trying to prove something instead of just living it. <\/p>\n
\u201cYou know, every other photograph is the two of you kissing and the two of you hugging.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJennifer, who co-starred with Jane in the 2005 film \u2018Monster-in-Law\u2019, insisted: \u201cThat\u2019s just us living our life.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJane also said she worried the singer was \u201cputting (her)self out there to get beat up again\u201d \u2013 and added she got \u201creal scared\u201d when she saw headlines about Ben looking \u201cunhappy\u201d in their marriage.<\/p>\n
\nJennifer also brushed off those concerns, joking Ben was simply the \u201csymbol of the beleaguered man\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nBen also raised concerns about his Jennifer\u2019s first engagement from 2002 to 2004 before they got together again years later and married in 2022.<\/p>\n
\nHinting at trouble with him coping with the level of attention on Jennifer, the \u2018Gone Girl\u2019 actor admitted they were \u201ctrying to learn to compromise\u201d on \u201cboundaries\u201d, especially \u201caround the press\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nJennifer filed for divorce from Ben, who co-starred with her in flop film \u2018Jersey Girl\u2019 the same day she married the actor in Georgia two years earlier.<\/p>\n
\nShe listed their date of separation as 26 April, with a source telling Page Six Jennifer feels \u201cfurious\u201d and \u201chumiliated\u201d as Ben \u201cwas the one who initiated\u201d their romantic reunion in 2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
