Conan O\u2019Brien<\/strong> <\/a>could have been a male gigolo \u2014 on TV, that is.<\/p>\n

The comedian had Walton Goggins<\/strong><\/a>, who stars on season 3 of The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>, as a guest on Monday, August 19, episode of his \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Needs a Friend<\/a>\u201d podcast. There, O\u2019Brien, 61, recounted a chance meeting with Mike White<\/strong>, creator of the HBO hit.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore you guys started shooting The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>, I ran into none other than Mike White in a restaurant,\u201d he recalled. \u201cWe start chatting because we\u2019ve met each other once or twice before and he\u2019s a very funny, cool guy. I said, \u2018Hey, so the next season of The White Lotus, you\u2019re going down to Thailand, right?\u2019 And he said, \u2018Yeah.\u2019 And I said, \u2018I was there. I had a great time. I made a lot of friends.\u2019 I said, \u2018If there\u2019s a part for me, I\u2019m available.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

White then replied, \u201cYou know, there\u2019s a lot of sex work there,\u201d prompting O\u2019Brien to offer his services in a way he hadn\u2019t previously considered.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSurvivor alum and The White Lotus creator Mike White can\u2019t resist drawing parallels between his reality breakout and his hit HBO show. White, 53, was a contestant on Survivor: David vs. Goliath in 2018, where he was runner-up to Nick Wilson in a controversial finish. The White Lotus premiered three years later and was an [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018I could do that. \u2026.I could play a part where I\u2019m a male gigolo or something,\u2019\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n

Through his laughter \u2014and the laughter of co-hosts Sona Movsesian<\/strong> and Matt Gourley<\/strong> \u2014 Goggins joked that \u201cthis is the last podcast you will ever do, Conan.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor then gave O\u2019Brien some encouragement, adding, \u200b\u200b\u201cYes, you could do that. I believe that you could do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien wisely sought clarification after that comment.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you think I could play that part or do you think I actually could be a gigolo?\u201d he asked, to which Goggins responded, \u201cWell, I think you could do both. I think you could play that part and you could be that person in real life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The White Lotus<\/em> season 3 is slated for release sometime in 2025, though an exact date is still to be determined. Production was delayed due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, prolonging the wait after season 2 ended in December 2022.<\/p>\n
