Simone Biles<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 post-Olympics celebration almost took an expensive turn.<\/p>\n

\u201cOK, we had closing ceremonies at the Olympics. I went, and after that, we went out,\u201d Biles, 27, said in a Monday, August 19, TikTok upload<\/a>. \u201cYou guys, this club tried to charge me $26,000 for a bottle of champagne. Like, are you insane?\u201d<\/p>\n

Biles went on to note that she \u201cobviously\u201d did not buy the pricey beverage, adding, \u201cWhy would you even try to play me like that? Like, that\u2019s wild.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to CNN<\/a>, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee pays Team USA gold medal winners $37,500, $22,500 for silver and $15,000 for bronze. Biles did not address whether her Olympic earnings were the reason she was almost charged for the champagne.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSimone Biles is small in stature \u2014 just 4-foot-8 \u2014 but her reputation looms large. The Texas native started taking gymnastics classes at age 6 and earned an invite to the junior national team camp by 14. She had several world championship gold medals before she made her Olympics debut in Rio de Janeiro at [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Biles shared the story while filming herself getting ready for her husband Jonathan Owens<\/strong>\u2019 Chicago Bears preseason game<\/a> against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday, August 17. While doing her hair and makeup, Biles reflected on the effect her Paris Olympics<\/a> success has had on her.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes the attention, like, I\u2019d rather not have it,\u201d she told fans. \u201cI\u2019d rather just be as normal as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biles made a triumphant return to the Olympics last month after pulling out of multiple competitions at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to experiencing the \u201ctwisties,\u201d<\/a> a term used for when a mental block prevents gymnasts from performing certain skills.<\/p>\n

Biles, who has since become an advocate for mental health<\/a>, won a total of four medals<\/a> in Paris, scoring gold in the women\u2019s artistic individual all-around, women\u2019s vault and team all-around competitions. She also took home a silver medal in the women\u2019s floor exercise final.<\/p>\n

The Olympian previously gave fans a glimpse into her night out<\/a> after the Olympics closing ceremony via her Instagram Story. \u201cThe reason I\u2019m unwell this morning,\u201d she captioned an August 12 clip of herself at a party with the crowd cheering and holding up an American flag.<\/p>\n

In another clip, she and her sister, Adria<\/strong>, sang along to the 2010 Waka Flocka Flame<\/strong> track \u201cGrove St. Party.\u201d She captioned the video, \u201cIf you see me out at the club, pls tell me to go home. For my own sake & health in the AM.\u201d<\/p>\n
