Dancing With the Stars<\/i><\/a><\/span>\u00a0winner Bobby Bones<\/b><\/span><\/a> is defending his title after Julianne Hough<\/b><\/span><\/a> called him \u201cnot the best dancer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Hough, 36, a cohost and former dance pro on the show,\u00a0shared her true feelings<\/span><\/a>\u00a0about Bones, 44, during the Sunday, August 18, edition of\u00a0What What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/i>. When a viewer asked whether there\u2019s ever been a winner Hough has \u201cstrongly disagreed\u201d with, Hough\u2019s fellow guest star Mickey Guyton<\/b> quickly chimed in, naming Bones.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cI actually agree with you,\u201d Hough told Guyton, 41, adding of Bones\u2019 victory in 2018, \u201cAnd I think it\u2019s because of the fan base. It\u2019s all about [the] fan base on that show. He was not the best dancer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>On Monday, August 19, Bones posted a response\u00a0via Instagram<\/span><\/a>, calling Hough \u201cawesome\u201d and agreeing with her assessment of his talent.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cI was the worst dancer. I take pride in that,\u201d he said. \u201cNow, I tried as hard as anybody in the history of the show, but I can\u2019t dance now, couldn\u2019t dance then.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cBut you know who took down the big evil empire of dance? Well, it\u2019s not evil or an empire, but me and you! We did it together,\u201d Bones told his followers. \u201cI\u2019m the greatest champion ever. I didn\u2019t say I was the greatest dancer, but the greatest champion ever. I\u2019m the man of the people. I\u2019m the man that you guys selected. But Mickey Guyton, what? Julianne Hough, you\u2019re cool.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>He added, \u201cI\u2019m a terrible dancer, I was a terrible dancer but they changed the rules after I left because the fan vote was so good.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Bones and ballroom pro Sharna Burgess<\/b> won\u00a0Dancing With the Stars<\/i>\u00a0season 27 due to the viewer vote despite earning lower scores from the judges than his fellow finalists. Disney Channel actor Milo Mannheim<\/b> ranked second place, followed by Harry Potter<\/i> actress Evanna Lynch\u00a0<\/b>in third and influencer Alexis Ren<\/b> in fourth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Hough competed on\u00a0DWTS<\/i>\u00a0from season 4 to season 8 (which aired between 2007 and 2009) and later returned as a judge from 2014 to 2017. Her brother, Derek Hough<\/b>, was also a pro partner on the ABC series for several years and is currently a judge alongside Bruno Tonioli<\/b> and Carrie Ann Inaba<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>During her\u00a0WWHL<\/i> appearance, Hough also addressed public perception of her career.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cI think because I do so many different things, I\u2019m a bit confusing,\u201d Hough acknowledged. \u201cPeople are like, \u2018What does she do? Does she dance, is she a singer, is she an actor, what does she do?\u2019 But I think I\u2019m a storyteller. And I think by nature, everything that I do is storytelling whether it\u2019s through my body or through my voice or through my acting.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
