\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Halle Berry<\/strong><\/a> is seeking sole custody of her 10-year-old son, Maceo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The 58-year-old actress claims that his father, Oliver Martinez<\/strong><\/a>, \u201crefuses to co-parent or communicate in a child-centered way,\u201d according to a filing obtained via People<\/a>.<\/p>\n The news comes after she alleged<\/a> that her 58-year-old ex-husband failed to continue seeing a co-parenting coach.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Halle<\/strong> is requesting custody, \u201cor in the alternative, tie-breaking authority to make all decisions\u201d about his education, health and therapy needs.<\/p>\n The documents were filed in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County. The paperwork also comes a year after the ex-couple finalized their divorce, nearly eight years after their 2015 split. They agreed to share joint legal custody of their son, with Halle<\/strong> paying Oliver<\/strong> $8,000 a month in child support and an additional \u201c4.3% of any income she receives above $2,000,000.\u201d<\/p>\n In the latest filing, she claims she\u2019s made an effort to address her son\u2019s \u201ceducational challenges\u201d and behavioral concerns as she \u201cfought for tutoring, an educational assessment and finding an environment that was suitable to Maceo<\/strong>\u2019s needs.\u201d<\/p>\n Oliver<\/strong> has been \u201coppositional, unmoving and withheld his consent for years,\u201d the filing claims.<\/p>\n \u201cBecause of Respondent\u2019s opposition to any interventions whatsoever for years and because of Respondent\u2019s prioritizing soccer activities over Maceo<\/strong>\u2019s educational and psychological well-being, Maceo<\/strong>\u2019s educational and behavioral challenges worsened, and he continued to fall further behind in school,\u201d the document also claims, going on to say Maceo<\/strong> would \u201cact out\u201d toward her following \u201clonger periods of custody\u201d with his father and that her son would \u201crepeat disputes\u201d that the former couple had in private. <\/p>\n Halle<\/strong> says Oliver<\/strong> claimed the boy was \u201cold enough to make his own decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n A lawyer for Oliver <\/strong>said he will be \u201cresponding to these allegations\u201d in the coming weeks.
