The ‘Friends’ actor died in October 2023, aged 54, from the acute effects of ketamine, but Marta – who co-created ‘Friends’ – wants Perry to be remembered as someone who “brought joy to everybody”.<\/p>\n
Marta told The Times newspaper: “He is the one I had the most contact with. <\/p>\n
“About two weeks before [he died] he and I were FaceTiming and he seemed really good. <\/p>\n
“Two things come to mind [about how to celebrate him]: one of them is to donate to drug treatment centres – let\u2019s fight the disease. And the second way is to watch ‘Friends’ and remember him not as a man who died like that but as a man who was hilariously funny and brought joy to everybody.”<\/p>\n
\nPerry’s personal assistant recently pleaded guilty to charges in connection with his death.<\/p>\n
\nKenneth Iwamasa, the actor’s live-in personal assistant, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death.<\/p>\n
\nThe Department of Justice has accused Iwamasa of “repeatedly” injecting the actor with ketamine “without medical training”, including on the day that Perry passed away.<\/p>\n
\nIwamasa is one of five defendants charged with offences related to the actor’s death.<\/p>\n
\nJasveen Sangha – who is also known as The Ketamine Queen – has been charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises.<\/p>\n
\nWhat’s more, Sangha is facing one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine and five counts of distribution of ketamine.<\/p>\n
\nDr. Salvador Plascencia has been charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine.<\/p>\n
\nElsewhere, Mark Chavez, another doctor, has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.<\/p>\n
\nErik Fleming has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
