The 52-year-old actress became a household name playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the ABC sitcom from 2009 to 2020 and has now said she would love to star in a comeback of the show.<\/p>\n

She told Variety about the ongoing joke she has with her former onscreen husband Jay Pritchett \u2013 played by 78-year-old Ed \u2013 about a possible return to the show: \u201c(I recently told him), \u2018You look f****** old\u2019. I always joke with him, \u2018Ed, don\u2019t die. Because if we do the sequel, it will take some time, and you\u2019re the oldest of us. You can\u2019t be dead!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Sofia added instead of a full series comeback for \u2018Modern Family\u2019 she would prefer if the cast got together for a \u201cTV movie\u201d version of the show \u2013 adding: \u201cIt\u2019d be so much fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sofia last November got the show\u2019s cast together for their first reunion since the series ended in 2020, with everyone but actor Ty Burrell, 56, turning up for the occasion.<\/p>\n

\nShe told People after the get-together: \u201cIt was very special. The day before I came from the Bahamas, and today I had this (reunion), so I\u2019m exhausted, but it was so worth it.<\/p>\n

\n\u201c(It was) the first time we had all seen each other in almost four years\u2026 (it was) very exciting for all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nAlong with Sofia, stars Ed, Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ariel Winter, Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons turned up \u2013 as well as showrunners Chris Lloyd and Steve Levitan.<\/p>\n

\nSofia went on about the reunion: \u201cIt\u2019s amazing, because we\u2019re always connected. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cEven though we haven\u2019t seen each other in so long, it felt like we just left the set in 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
