Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a> has no plans to return to the NFL after his retirement<\/a> \u2014 and only a medical miracle could change his mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me personally, my days of playing are just done and I do not foresee any scenario taking place other than maybe medicine inventing a way to get rid of arthritis that I would ever entertain coming back at all anymore,\u201d Kelce, 36, told the Associated Press<\/a> in an interview published on Tuesday, August 13.<\/p>\n

Kelce retired after the 2023-2024 season, playing the entirety of his 13-year career as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to his body needing a break, Kelce is already down from his playing weight of 295 pounds to 275 \u2014 with a goal weight of 260.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not going to call me to come back and play center at 260 pounds, and I\u2019m moving on to the next thing,\u201d he continued, noting that he\u2019s \u201cexcited\u201d to watch his replacement, Cam Jurgens<\/strong>, on the field.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJason Kelce swiped right and found love with Kylie Kelce \u2014 even if their first date got off to a rocky start. \u201c[I] definitely fell asleep,\u201d the Philadelphia Eagles athlete recalled on his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast in September 2023. \u201cGot a little too inebriated, but I was sober enough to know it was the most [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI really think Cam is going to be tremendous this year. He\u2019s going to really show people how great of a player he is,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cHe was good for us last year at right guard and he\u2019s going to flourish at center.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Kelce\u2019s career on the field is over, he has plenty of other projects in the works. He hosts his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast with brother Travis Kelce<\/strong> and has officially joined ESPN\u2019s Monday Night Countdown<\/em> broadcast team.<\/p>\n

Jason was emotional when revealing his retirement after an incredible career, but he previously told Travis, 34, during a June episode of \u201cNew Heights\u201d that he knew it was his time to move on<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is when you\u2019re going to start knowing, whenever this time comes, and you need to walk away,\u201d Jason said. \u201c[It\u2019s] the fighting your body, like, you used to be able to do something you can\u2019t do anymore. That\u2019s when it\u2019s like, you\u2019re fighting that, to continue to get that back. That\u2019s when it starts to become hard. Bottom line is everyone knows when it\u2019s time for them.\u201d<\/p>\n
