The \u2018Desperate Housewives\u2019 actress, 59, was left stunned when she was thrown off singles site Hinge after recently joining it following the breakdown of two marriages \u2013 her first with Marcus Leithold, to whom she was married from 1988 to 1989, and her second to Jon Tenney from 1994 to 2003, during which they had a daughter.<\/p>\n

In a hint she has now given up her search for love, she told broadcaster Chris Evans<\/a>, 58, on his Virgin Radio show: \u201cI think the idea (about getting on a singles app) really was to say to the universe, \u2018I am open to dating\u2019. <\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody talks about that \u2013 \u2018You have to do gestures to the universe to make things happen to you\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd so that was mine\u2026 I\u2019ll go on a dating app and that will universally say that I am open to dating, I\u2019m willing, right? <\/p>\n

\n\u201cAlthough I don\u2019t think I ever really thought that was going to be the direction that was going to work out for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nTeri added about being dumped from Hinge: \u201cBut I also didn\u2019t think that one day I would go to open the app on my phone and I would be blocked!\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe \u2018Tomorrow Never Dies\u2019 star added she thinks she was kicked off Hinge due to a mix of people not believing she was on the site and reporting her profile \u2013 and other users who took her account as genuine complaining when she refused to date them or didn\u2019t reply to their messages.<\/p>\n

\nShe added: \u201cI think what happened, when I was on the app, there would be people that would say either, \u2018This can\u2019t possibly be Teri Hatcher \u2013 what would she be doing on this app?\u2019 <\/p>\n

\n\u201cOr they would say, \u2018Hey, you want to go out on a date with me?\u2019 <\/p>\n

\n\u201cAnd then when I wouldn\u2019t, I think maybe they got mad that I didn\u2019t respond. And so I think collectively, those people must have alerted Hinge that somebody was pretending to be me.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cBut that whole era is over now. Now I\u2019m still not dating, but I\u2019m also not on any apps!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
