Grant Ellis<\/a> is the new Bachelor! The same night that fans watched <\/span>Jenn Tran<\/a> send Grant packing ahead of Hometowns, the 30-year-old day trader was named\u00a0<\/span>The Bachelor<\/em><\/a>‘s season 29 lead.<\/span><\/p>\n After Grant realized that his stint on\u00a0<\/span>The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>\u00a0was over, he emotionally told the cameras, “I feel empty right now. Jenn’s a great woman. She’s a great woman. I expressed my love for her. I poured everything out and it wasn’t good enough. It just sucks knowing that you feel some way about somebody, and they don’t feel the same about you.”<\/span><\/p>\n “I want a family. I want to be happy. I want a wife. I want to be in love. I want that,” he said. “I want to give everything to somebody, and I want them to give everything to me in return.”<\/span><\/p>\n Grant will get a chance to find just that with his own season of the franchise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Per ABC, Grant is “a self-proclaimed mama’s boy” with an “infectious smile and unwavering positivity.” A former pro basketball player, Grant “is passionate about his career as a day trader, but when he’s not immersed in the fast-paced world of finance, you can find him cheering on the Lakers, hitting strikes at the bowling alley, or belting out tunes at karaoke nights.”<\/span><\/p>\n “As the Bachelor, Grant is eager to embark on a journey filled with romance, adventure, and genuine connections,” the network says. “He hopes to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.”<\/span><\/p>\n Season 29 of\u00a0<\/span>The Bachelor<\/span><\/em>, which will air next year,\u00a0will follow <\/span>Joey Graziadei<\/a>‘s turn on the show. The tennis pro <\/span>ended his season engaged<\/a> to <\/span>Kelsey Anderson<\/a>, and the duo is currently in the process of <\/span>planning their wedding<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n First up in the franchise, though, is\u00a0<\/span>The Golden Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>. <\/span>Gerry Turner<\/a>‘s ex,\u00a0<\/span>Joan Vassos<\/a>‘, journey for love <\/span>will begin<\/a>\u00a0Sept. 18 on ABC.
