Here\u2019s hoping Rob Gronkowski<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t make his small cameo in The Instigators<\/em><\/a> for the money.<\/p>\n

During a conversation with star and cowriter Casey Affleck<\/strong><\/a>, Julian Edelman<\/strong> seemingly threw his former New England Patriots teammate under the bus regarding money for the Apple TV+ movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cGronk makes a freaking showing, which was fun,\u201d Edelman, 38, on his \u201cGames With Names\u201d podcast<\/a> about The Instigators<\/em>,\u00a0noting he and Gronk, 35, talked about the scene. \u201cI had him over the house a couple of days ago. He goes, \u2018Yeah, I thought they were going to use me more.\u2019 We\u2019ll get into that.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of Edelman\u2019s podcast producers chimed in claiming that Gronk was paid \u201conly $800\u201d for his appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cGronk doesn\u2019t need a paycheck,\u201d Affleck quipped. \u201cWhat\u2019s up, Gronk? Was Gronk always worried about the check in the locker room?\u201d<\/p>\n

Edelman called Gronk \u201ca math guy.\u201d Podcast producers Jack<\/strong> and Kyler<\/strong> chimed in joking that Gronk was \u201cmore upset that he hasn\u2019t gotten any additional roles since\u201d The Instigators.<\/p>\n

Affleck stars alongside longtime friend and collaborator<\/a> Matt Damon<\/strong> in The Instigators<\/em>, which premiered on Friday, August 9. The movie follows Damon as Rory who teams up with an ex-con, played by Affleck, to rob the Boston mayor (Ron Perlman<\/strong>) during an election night party. Along with Gronk, rapper Jack Harlow<\/strong> also plays a major part in the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was great. He was amazing. Usually when someone is really talented in one thing as a performer, they\u2019re going to be able to make that transition,\u201d Affleck said of Harlow, 26. \u201cBut I think people are still surprised. He showed up and he was just incredibly prepared, really funny. Full of ideas of his own.\u201d<\/p>\n
