Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> scored another week at No. 1 and a victory over Kanye West<\/strong><\/a> in the process.<\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s The Tortured Poets Department<\/em><\/a> celebrates its 14th week atop the Billboard 200 album chart, Billboard<\/em><\/a> reported on Sunday, August 11. TTPD<\/em> moved another 142,000 equivalent album units to retain the top spot on the chart dated August 17.<\/p>\n

West, 47, has to settle for second place on the new Billboard 200. His latest venture with Ty Dolla $ign<\/strong>, Vultures 2<\/em><\/a>, debuts at No. 2 on the chart with 107,000 equivalent album units. It\u2019s Ye\u2019s 13th album to reach the top two, though a rare misstep for the rapper, who has scored 11 No. 1s to date. (Ye and Ty Dolla $ign\u2019s Vultures 1<\/em> topped the chart in February.)<\/p>\n

Of course, there has long been bad blood between Swift, 34, and West, who name-dropped both Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce<\/strong>, on his new record.<\/p>\n

Swift, 34, released her 11th studio album on April 19, and it immediately began shattering sales and streaming records left and right. TTPD racked up 2.6 million equivalent album sales in the first week of its release, with [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,\u201d West raps on the song \u201cLifestyle (Demo),\u201d making a play on Swift\u2019s first name and Kelce\u2019s NFL position.<\/p>\n

Neither Swift nor Kelce have acknowledged the West\u2019s reference publicly, but Kelce\u2019s dad, Ed Kelce<\/strong>, was not pleased<\/a> by the mention. \u201cMental illness on full display,\u201d Ed wrote via Facebook on Thursday, August 8, reposting a Daily Mail<\/em> article about the lyric.<\/p>\n

Swift and West\u2019s history with one another goes back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where West infamously interrupted Swift\u2019s acceptance speech for Best Female Video and declared that Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> should have won instead. (Swift won the award for the \u201cYou Belong With Me\u201d video, beating Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cSingle Ladies (Put a Ring On It.\u201d)<\/p>\n

The pair appeared to make up after that, but the feud was reignited in 2016 when West name-checked Swift on his song \u201cFamous.\u201d He rapped, \u201cI feel like me and Taylor might still have sex \/ I made that bitch famous.\u201d West claimed he sought Swift\u2019s approval to include the line, which she denied.<\/p>\n
