Ayesha Curry<\/strong>, the wife of Team USA basketballer Stephen Curry<\/strong><\/a>, was involved in a tense confrontation with Paris police.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to X<\/a> by The Hollywood Fix<\/em>, Ayesha, 35, appears to wipe away tears while attempting to return to her car on Saturday, August 10. The altercation appears to have occurred right after Stephen\u2019s gold medal win<\/a> in the men\u2019s basketball final at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With her newborn son, Caius, strapped to her chest, Ayesha is seen speaking with police officers for approximately three minutes alongside Steph\u2019s mother, Sonya Curry<\/strong>, and Draymond Green<\/strong>, Steph\u2019s Golden State Warriors teammate.<\/p>\n

Green, 34, is also heard in the video asking the police, \u201cSo even after him hitting the baby in the head, there\u2019s still nothing y\u2019all can do to get them out of here?\u201d It is unclear what Green is referring to as there is no physical altercation captured within the video.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs Team USA takes on the 2024 Paris Olympics, the American athletes have already made an impression at the summer Games. The 2024 Olympics kicked off on Friday, July 26, with an illustrious opening ceremony that took place entirely outdoors on the River Seine and featured performances from the likes of Celine Dion and Lady [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to representatives for Ayesha for comment.<\/p>\n

The video begins with Sonya, 58, emotionally asking police officers to stop talking to her as Ayesha, who is holding the hand of another one of her four children, and Green speak to other police officers calmly.<\/p>\n

Sonya then beckons to Ayesha to join her as she attempts to push beyond the police in order to reach the group\u2019s vehicle. \u201cIt\u2019s right there, where all those people are on that side, we were over there,\u201d Sonya tells the police. \u201cThey won\u2019t let us go back over there where we came from. They won\u2019t let the driver come here and they won\u2019t let us go back over there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another man in the group, who speaks French and serves as a translator between the police and the Currys, then attempts to diffuse the situation, telling Sonya that \u201cnobody is allowed to cross this street right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the camera pans out to the streetscape, police barricades can be seen in every direction as further law enforcement officials surround the area.<\/p>\n

The translating man then relays to Sonya and Ayesha that the police officers are \u201cvery sorry for what has happened,\u201d which only heightens Ayesha\u2019s emotions as she is seen dabbing what appears to be further tears away.<\/p>\n
