Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump<\/strong> reportedly<\/a> called his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong> a \u201cbitch\u201d repeatedly, per reporting from the New York Times<\/em> based on two people who heard the remark on different occasions. Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung<\/strong> denied the remarks, saying, \u201cThat is not language President Trump has used to describe Kamala” and it\u2019s \u201cnot how the campaign would characterize her.\u201d<\/p>\n Yet, Trump has used this gendered slur to talk about women, or benefited from its use, throughout his career. And, he didn\u2019t shy away from the language in 2016 when running against Hillary Clinton<\/strong>\u2014lest we all remember the \u201cTRUMP THAT BITCH<\/a>\u201d T-shirts that filled his rallies. (The phrase also graced bumper stickers<\/a>, yard signs<\/a>, and bottles of hot sauce<\/a>.)<\/p>\n At a New Hampshire rally during that campaign, someone in the crowd held up<\/a> a \u201cTRUMP THAT BITCH\u201d bumper sticker, and the then-candidate appeared to spot it, stopping Trump in the middle of his speech.<\/p>\n \u201cThis could only happen at a Trump rally,\u201d he said after pointing, smiling, and laughing at the attendee. Then, after mentioning the pushback he received after not correcting a town hall attendee<\/a> who insisted that President Barack Obama<\/strong> is a Muslim, Trump points again at the man in the crowd.<\/p>\n \u201cSir, you\u2019re reprimanded, okay?\u201d he said before throwing his arm in the air in a brushing-it-off motion. \u201cBut, we\u2019re not throwing him out, right folks?\u201d<\/p>\n While there is no conclusive history of Trump\u2019s usage of the misogynistic insult, he\u2019s been reportedly employing it for a while now.<\/p>\n In the now infamous<\/a> Access Hollywood<\/em> tape<\/a> from 2005, where Trump said he could grab women \u201cby the pussy\u201d and \u201cdo anything\u201d to them because he was a \u201cstar,\u201d he also claimed he tried to sleep with a married woman to no avail, which disappointed him.<\/p>\n \u201cI moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn\u2019t get there,\u201d Trump said of the woman, adding, \u201cThen all of a sudden I see her, she\u2019s now got the big phony tits and everything. She\u2019s totally changed her look.\u201d<\/p>\n A year later in 2006, Trump said he wished<\/a> then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice<\/strong> was a \u201cbitch,\u201d according to reporting from the New York Daily News<\/em> at the time and CNN\u2019s fact check in 2016.<\/p>\n \u201cI wish she was a bitch. I don\u2019t care if she\u2019s a lovely woman,\u201d Trump said. \u201cI want somebody that can go and make deals. She goes to countries, but nothing ever happens. Except sound bites.\u201d<\/p>\n In his last season hosting The Celebrity Apprentice before running for president, Trump shared<\/a> a post from a viewer on Twitter, now X, that encouraged him to oust former Miss USA winner Kenya Moore<\/strong>. \u201cGet rid of @KenyaMoore already @realDonaldTrump.\u201d the post reads. \u201cShe\u2019s a bitch no matter who she\u2019s with.\u201d<\/p>\n While in office, Trump reportedly called then-German chancellor Angela Merkel<\/strong> \u201cthat bitch\u201d during an Oval Office meeting about NATO and the US relationship with Germany, per Washington Post<\/em> reporters Carol Leonnig<\/strong> and Philip Rucker<\/strong>\u2019s 2021 book<\/a> I Alone Can Fix It<\/em>. A Trump spokesperson at the time denied<\/a> that the president had made these remarks.<\/p>\n And, in the 2005 biographical book The Art of Being the Donald<\/em>, Trump said<\/a> that his favorite part of the movie Pulp Fiction was when Samuel L. Jackson<\/strong>\u2019s character \u201chas his gun out in the diner and he tells the guy to tell his girlfriend to shut up.\u201d Trump then quotes the lines<\/a>, \u201cTell that bitch to be cool! Say \u2018bitch be cool\u2019!\u201d<\/p>\n Trump also has a fondness for calling men who he thinks wronged him a \u201cson of a bitch,\u201d hurling the phrase at a Florida man<\/a> who allegedly installed his rally mic poorly, NFL players protesting racism<\/a>, NBC\u2019s Chuck Todd<\/strong><\/a>, someone who might have been trying to rip him off<\/a> when buying a plane, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell<\/strong><\/a>, and President Joe Biden<\/strong><\/a>, to name a few.<\/p>\n The news that Trump reportedly called Harris a \u201cbitch\u201d multiple times comes alongside a slew of insults the Republican nominee has used against his opponent. Harris \u201ccan\u2019t do an interview,\u201d he claimed<\/a>, because she is \u201cbarely competent.\u201d \u201cShe\u2019s not smart enough\u201d to do a news conference, Trump has said<\/a>.<\/p>\n And, pulling out one of his go-to phrases against both Hillary Clinton<\/a> and the vice president<\/a>, Trump told<\/a> FOX & Friends on Wednesday that he\u2019ll be debating Harris at some point, adding that he \u201cheard she\u2019s sort of a nasty person but not a good debater.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
