Zac Brown<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s friend Jake Nodar<\/strong> is defending the musician against his ex-wife Kelly Yazdi\u2019<\/strong>s \u201cone-sided\u201d claims<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA few months ago, Zac\u2019s ex took to social media in the form of a poem that rivals the greats like Dr. Seuss. It was entitled, \u2018Butterflies Don\u2019t Belong in Nets,\u2019\u201d Nodar said in a Friday, August 9, Instagram<\/a> video. \u201cShe said she\u2019s a wildflower that was yanked from the ground and shoved into a pot. Let me tell you: Most people would kill to live in this pot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nodar alleged that Yazdi, 33, previously spent \u201cthousands [of dollars] a month\u201d on spa treatments, clothes and vacations.<\/p>\n

\u201cKelly claims to be a wild horse that\u2019s been caged. As someone that\u2019s trained horses professionally for over 20 years and has worked with actual wild horses, let me just say that is offensive to all actual wild horses,\u201d Nodar quipped. \u201cKelly speaks about how Zac didn\u2019t want her to dress a certain way. Let me tell you, if you\u2019re a grown-ass adult and think wearing a string bikini that shows off your [body] when you bend over in front of 8-year-olds is OK, you deserve to be told otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The country singer and his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi, announced in December 2023 that they were separating after four months of marriage. \u201cWe are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains,\u201d [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Brown, 46, and Yazdi secretly wed in August 2023 before separating four months later. In May, Brown named Yazdi in a lawsuit<\/a> and claimed that one of her Instagram posts allegedly tarnished his public image. The Zac Brown Band frontman claimed that Yazdi\u2019s post broke a confidentiality agreement that she signed during their whirlwind marriage. He also filed for an emergency temporary restraining order, which was denied by a judge.<\/p>\n

In court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/i> earlier this month, Brown accused Yazdi of stealing confidential documents<\/a>. Yadzi, meanwhile, has denied Brown\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cI intend to respond swiftly and robustly to his meritless complaint that publication of two poems on my personal social media account divulged any \u2018confidential information\u2019 about his business,\u201d she wrote via Instagram<\/a> in May. \u201cMuch less authorizes a court to enjoin me from speaking about matters in my personal life that have nothing to do with my brief former work for the Zac Brown Collective, Inc.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Nodar, Yazdi\u2019s remarks continually detail \u201cfalse allegations\u201d that are \u201cdefamatory\u201d toward Brown.<\/p>\n

\u201cKelly has been instructing her family members to comment [on our posts] and telling them exactly what to say,\u201d he claimed. \u201cKelly likes to paint this portrait of her being a free spirit \u2026 this isn\u2019t the case. I saw on numerous occasions Kelly making staff members cry. Kelly was controlling, Kelly was mean and if Kelly didn\u2019t get her way, there was hell to pay.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nodar further stressed that Brown and Yazdi\u2019s marriage was \u201cnot a situation [where she was] locked in a castle\u201d because Yazdi had been wanting \u201cfame, power and money for a very long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nodar continued, \u201cZac took care of Kelly. It wasn\u2019t just the trips or the clothes or the spa treatments or the fact that he paid off her house in Hawaii. Zac also gave her a very generous salary for the work she did at his company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per Nodar, Yazdi was allegedly aware that \u201cher time with the company was up\u201d when Brown filed for divorce.<\/p>\n
