Lisa Ann Walter<\/strong><\/a> is reflecting on her body image in the early days of her career.<\/p>\n

The Abbott Elementary<\/em><\/a> star, 61, recalled dealing with the mental anguish that came with thinking she didn\u2019t fit a certain mold in Hollywood in a post via X<\/a> on Tuesday, August 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd after all the unnecessary self-loathing, I learned years later that in the industry I was known as\u2026 \u2018The Body,’\u201d Walter captioned a series of three black-and-white photos, in which she wore a fitted black dress that featured a high slit, showing off her toned legs and gorgeous curves.<\/p>\n

Fans of the actress were quick to offer words of support, like one social media user who wrote, \u201cHow in the world did you not know?! That\u2019s a fab figure!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThere\u2019s no shame in loving your body. Thankfully, more Hollywood stars than ever before are preaching that message, and they won\u2019t let body-shaming comments slide anymore. Lizzo has been vocal about trying to help people accept all body sizes. \u201cI want to normalize my body. And not just be like, \u2018Ooh, look at this cool [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another added, \u201cDon\u2019t you just want to go back in time and fight EVERYONE who made us feel bad?\u201d to which Walter replied, \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Walter \u2013 who penned the 2011 collection of body image-centered essays, The Best Thing About My Ass Is That It\u2019s Behind Me<\/em> \u2013 has spoken out about being made to feel like she didn\u2019t fit the industry\u2019s perception of what an actress should look like.<\/p>\n

After a fan tweeted a series of both older and newer photos and called Walter a \u201cbaddie\u201d via X<\/a> in 2022, the Parent Trap<\/em> actress thanked the social media user and replied in a follow-up tweet.<\/p>\n

\u201cOmg \u2013 I\u2019m blown away,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAlso, why was Hollywood making me feel like I was fat? Lol #SizeZeroIsStupid.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of present, Walter appears to have a positive outlook on her body image, and focuses on the things that bring her joy \u2013 including hosting dinner parties for her loved ones and coworkers, as well as taking dance lessons and going to bar trivia nights with her friends.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Walter exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> all about her favorite dishes she loves to cook \u2013 just like her Abbott Elementary<\/em> character, Melissa Schemmenti. Walter told Us<\/em> that she began cooking for her family at age 13 since her childhood consisted of \u201cpizza and hotdogs.\u201d<\/p>\n
