Travis Scott<\/a> was arrested on Friday morning in Paris following an alleged altercation with a security guard, according to <\/span>multiple reports<\/a>\u00a0including <\/span>The Associated Press.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n “I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard,” French prosecutors said in a statement to\u00a0<\/span>NBC News<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n “The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard,” the statement continued, adding that police are still investigating the situation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 33-year-old rapper, born\u00a0Jacques Bermon Webster II, was in Paris to attend the <\/span>2024 Olympics<\/a>. He was seen cheering for Team USA during the Men’s Basketball semifinals game against Team Serbia on Thursday at Bercy Arena.\u00a0He was joined at the game by fellow musician, Quavo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The news comes shortly after the “SICKO MODE” rapper <\/span>was previously arrested in Miami, Florida, on June 20<\/a> for allegedly trespassing and alleged disorderly intoxication.<\/span><\/p>\n Later that afternoon, Scott took to his Instagram Story to post a pic of his mugshot, only he photoshopped sunglasses and earbuds on himself.\u00a0Travis also announced\u00a0<\/span>he would be selling T-shirts<\/a>\u00a0with his mugshot with the slogan, “It’s Miami” during his Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour. Proceeds are going to his foundation,\u00a0<\/span>Cactus Jack<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
