Jennie Garth<\/strong><\/a> is getting candid about the challenges of menopause.<\/p>\n The Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em><\/a> alum, 52, took to Instagram <\/a>on Tuesday, August 6, to share a video of her gym workout. Although she appears to be taking on her routine with ease, Garth noted that she\u2019s been \u201cstruggling\u201d with \u201cbody pain\u201d and the \u201cdaily minefield, both physically & mentally\u201d that comes with age.<\/p>\n \u201cHere\u2019s the deal,\u201d she captioned the post. \u201cI stay motivated by FORCING myself to workout. i know i\u2019ll always feel better from doing it. but recently it just feels like my body is fighting against me at times. i forget that there\u2019s so much happening inside me, causing so many changes, that of course i\u2019m not always gonna feel or be able to perform how i\u2019d like to (or expect to).\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI have to remind myself to give myself some grace! i\u2019m doing the best i can & that makes me feel a little better, she added, inviting fans to \u201cTell me, how do you find working out challenging as we age & as we deal with these human changes?\u201d<\/p>\n She additionally thanked her trainer, Jason AliveFitness, \u201cfor always pushing me just enough & for your patience & understating of my beautiful, hard working body.\u201d<\/p>\n Garth also recently took time to interview menopause specialist Dr. Mary Claire Haver<\/strong> on the August 6 episode of her podcast<\/a>, \u201cI Choose Me With Jennie Garth.\u201d The two discussed common menopausal concerns such as night sweats, cognitive ability, joint pain and the general \u201cnegative connotation\u201d surrounding menopause that women are forced to navigate.<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n \u201cMenopause is something that half the population is going to go through, and I\u2019m just really happy to be a part of the conversation and to use my platform to destigmatize this because it\u2019s something as women we shouldn\u2019t be ashamed to talk about,\u201d Garth noted toward the end of the podcast.<\/p>\n In addition to struggling with her menopausal journey, Garth has said that she is \u201cabsolutely\u201d still grieving the loss <\/a>of her friend and former costar Shannen Doherty<\/strong>, who died at age 53 in July following a long battle with cancer.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
