Many reality TV fans were pumped about the apparent love connection between Vanderpump Rules<\/em> star Katie Maloney<\/strong><\/a> and Love Island USA<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Connor Newsum<\/strong> after the two were spotted out together in July. Now, the Something About Her cofounder has all but confirmed that they were on a date.<\/p>\n \u201cWas I on a date?\u201d Katie, 37, said to Dayna Kathan<\/strong> on the Wednesday, August 7, episode of their \u201cDisrespectfully\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m not going to deny anything.\u201d<\/p>\n The TV personality added, \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s fair to be yapping about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Dayna, 34, teased that she had \u201cthe tea\u201d on the date, but she was \u201cnot telling\u201d others what she knew about it.<\/p>\n Katie and Connor, 28, were spotted at Laurel Tavern in Studio City, California, on July 31, a source told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> at the time. The pair reportedly had a table to themselves in the corner of the restaurant. The eyewitness told the outlet that Katie \u201clooked amazing\u201d for the outing.<\/p>\n It\u2019s possible that Katie\u2019s VPR<\/em> costar and Something About Her business partner, Ariana Madix<\/strong>, who is the host of Love Island USA<\/em>, set her friend up with Connor after working with him in Fiji on the latest season of the dating show.<\/p>\n Connor was eliminated<\/a> in season 6 episode 16 after making connections with JaNa Craig<\/strong> and Leah Kateb<\/strong>. Leah, 24, ultimately chose Miguel Harichi<\/strong> over Connor.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I could have done things a little bit differently with JaNa. I regret some of the things that I said or did,\u201d the California resident told Today.com<\/em><\/a> on July 3.<\/p>\n Connor did walk away from Love Island USA<\/em> with one lasting connection, though. He revealed to Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> in July that he stayed in touch with Cass Laudano<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cShe got out and I was like, \u2018Hey, so what\u2019s up?\u2019 We\u2019ve been texting and, maybe, potentially making some light plans,\u201d he said. \u201cWe got along really well.
