Blake Lively<\/a>\u00a0paid homage to the one and only\u00a0<\/span>Britney Spears<\/a>\u00a0at her <\/span>It Ends With Us<\/em><\/a> premiere in New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n On Tuesday, the 36-year-old actress looked stunning in a Versace gown once modeled on the runway by the “Gimme More” singer, 42, back in 2002 as part of Versace’s spring\/summer women’s 2003 collection in Milan, Italy. Lively dazzled in the multicolored gown that she paired with shiny heels.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking with ET’s Rachel Smith at the premiere, Lively shared why she felt inspired by the legendary singer’s vintage look.<\/span><\/p>\n “I mean, for so many reasons. Britney has meant so much to me. To see a woman who works so hard,” Lively said. “As a millennial girl, Britney was the ultimate reason you want to sparkle and shine and be your most vibrant self.”<\/span><\/p>\n Lively added, “I couldn’t believe I found it. This dress should be in the Met.”<\/span><\/p>\n Ahead of the premiere, Lively also paid tribute to the “…Baby One More Time” songstress on her Instagram Story with a quasi-open letter.<\/span><\/p>\n “The ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle and write and share our stories,” Lively wrote in a Story featuring a gleeful Spears in the same dress. “Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength, and joy and immensely hard work. Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories. So excited about your Biopic and all you have to come.”<\/span><\/p>\n Like the rest of the world, Lively’s ecstatic about the Spears biopic that’s currently in the works. The project was announced last week after it was revealed that\u00a0Universal Pictures <\/span>landed the rights<\/a> to\u00a0<\/span>Spears’ bestselling memoir<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>The Woman in Me<\/em><\/a>. Acclaimed filmmaker Jon M. Chu (<\/span>Wicked<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>Crazy Rich Asians<\/span><\/em>) is set to direct.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Back at the premiere, Lively was flanked by her husband,\u00a0<\/span>Ryan Reynolds<\/a>, 47. They share four children —\u00a0daughters James, 9, Inez, 7 and Betty, 4, and son Olin, 1. Lively and Reynolds were also joined by their good friend (and Reynolds’\u00a0<\/span>Deadpool & Wolverine<\/span><\/em> co-star), <\/span>Hugh Jackman<\/a>, 55.<\/span><\/p>\n Lively\u00a0stars in the new romantic drama inspired by Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel with the same title. Lively portrays\u00a0Lily Bloom, a small-town college graduate\u00a0who moves to Boston with hopes of opening a flower shop. Meanwhile, <\/span>Justin Baldoni<\/a>, 39, is directing and starring alongside Lively as her love interest, neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid.\u00a0<\/span>Jenny Slate<\/a>, 47, also stars as\u00a0Allysa Kincaid, Lily’s best friend and Ryle’s sister.<\/span><\/p>\n
