Blake Lively<\/strong><\/a> is one of Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s best friends<\/a> and biggest fans, but don\u2019t ask her to pick a favorite song.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t ask me to pick one song. That\u2019s a wild question,\u201d Lively, 36, said during a Tuesday, August 6, interview on Australian TV show The Project<\/a><\/em>. \u201cHonestly, I love her music too much to pick one song. I could tell you my favorite child sooner if you would like to know that answer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Gossip Girl<\/em> alum went on to confirm that she \u201cgenuinely\u201d doesn\u2019t have a favorite child \u2014 or a favorite Swift song.<\/p>\n

Lively and her It Ends With Us<\/a><\/em>\u00a0costar Jenny Slate<\/strong><\/a> appeared on The Project<\/em> ahead of the premiere of their new film<\/a>, which hits theaters Friday, August 9. Based on the Colleen Hoover<\/strong> novel of the same name, the Justin Baldoni<\/strong>\u2013directed film uses Swift\u2019s \u201cMy Tears Ricochet\u201d in the official trailer. The song comes from Swift\u2019s eighth studio album, Folklore<\/em>, and aligns with Hoover\u2019s tale of domestic violence, with Swift singing from the perspective of a spirit speaking to her murderer.<\/p>\n

\u201cColleen is able to tell something that\u2019s deeply personal and intimate but is able to resonate with so many people,\u201d Lively said<\/a> at a Q&A for Book Bonanza. \u201cAnd Taylor, she\u2019s such an incredible writer. She writes from such personal experiences and vulnerability.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lively went further by comparing the author to the songwriter, referring to them as \u201cwomen who are authoring their stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lively and Swift\u2019s friendship expands far beyond this latest collaboration. The pair have been pals since 2015, sharing iconic friendship moments and even working together on Swift\u2019s \u201cI Bet You Think About Me\u201d music video.<\/p>\n

Swift is also the godmother to Lively\u2019s four children, whom she shares with husband Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a>. The singer has featured the children\u2019s names in her music, mentioning Betty, James and Inez on \u201cBetty<\/a>\u201d from Folklore<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a few of the characters [in \u2018Betty\u2019] that I actually, fun fact, named after real people in my life who I love more than anything,\u201d Swift said during a Philadelphia show on The Eras Tour<\/em> in May 2023 \u2014 at which Lively, James and Inez were in attendance. \u201cAnd their names are James, Inez and Betty.\u201d<\/p>\n
