{"id":11657,"date":"2023-04-03T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/03\/chris-hemsworth-thinking-of-slowing-down-after-alzheimers-warning\/"},"modified":"2023-04-03T11:00:00","modified_gmt":"2023-04-03T11:00:00","slug":"chris-hemsworth-thinking-of-slowing-down-after-alzheimers-warning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/03\/chris-hemsworth-thinking-of-slowing-down-after-alzheimers-warning\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris Hemsworth thinking of \u201cslowing down\u201d after Alzheimer\u2019s warning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/socialitelife.com\/tag\/chris-hemsworth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Chris Hemsworth<\/strong><\/a> is said to be slowing down after learning he\u2019s at \u201chigh risk\u201d of Alzheimer\u2019s as he ages.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Thor\u2019 actor, 39, discovered he could be vulnerable in later life to the degenerative disease while he filmed his National Geographic and Disney+ docuseries \u2018Limitless\u2019, and sources say even though he is planning to keep an eye on his Hollywood workload he is not considering early retirement for the sake of his health.<\/p>\n<p>An insider told Page Six \u201che doesn\u2019t plan to take on many roles because of (learning about his high risk of) Alzheimer\u2019s\u201d after he finishes four upcoming projects, which include reprising his Thor role in an upcoming \u2018Avengers\u2019 sequel, and a part in an untitled biopic of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan.<\/p>\n<p>Chris, who has children India, 10, and nine-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha with his \u2018Snakes on a Plane\u2019 actress wife Elsa Pataky, 46,<\/p>\n<p>The actor has told Vanity Fair he is \u201cnot talking about retiring by any means\u201d due to his Alzheimer\u2019s warning.<\/p>\n<p>But he admitted to the magazine there was an \u201cintensity\u201d in \u201cnavigating\u201d the test results that showed he was at high risk of the disease, which he got last November.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed it was not a diagnosis and only a sign the neurodegenerative condition is more likely to be in his future than it is for most other people.<\/p>\n<p>Chris added: \u201cMost of us, we like to avoid speaking about death. Then to all of a sudden be told some big indicators are actually pointing to this as the route which is going to happen, the reality of it sinks in.
