New details are emerging regarding\u00a0<\/span>Pax Jolie-Pitt’s\u00a0electric bike accident in Los Angeles<\/a> last week, which left the 20-year-old in the ICU with a head injury.<\/span><\/p>\n On Monday, ET spoke with Lola Cavalli — one of the first people at the scene of the accident to render medical aid to Pax on July 29 — who opened up about his injuries immediately after the crash.<\/span><\/p>\n According to Cavalli, she called 9-1-1 and was instructed by the operator on how to assess his wounds and was told to try and stop any apparent bleeding until medics arrived.<\/span><\/p>\n “I didn’t see any broken bones, I did not see, like, profound bleeding, so to speak. And since I was directed to apply pressure at the site where it was bleeding, I did not see where I could apply the pressure, because it was on the head. He was hit on the head,” Cavalli explained. “I had no idea where you would put the pressure to stop the bleeding on the head.”<\/span><\/p>\n “And it was not <\/span>a lot <\/span><\/em>of blood. Like, you didn’t see like a fountain of blood rushing out,” she added.\u00a0<\/span> However, she explained that the more immediate concern seemed to be oncoming traffic.<\/span><\/p>\n “I saw the traffic, because he was right in the middle of an intersection and nobody behind us could see what’s happening,” she recalled. “I took control of the traffic. I started directing it to make sure that he was not run over by another car and I was not run over by a car.”<\/span><\/p>\n “We did everything we thought would be necessary to make sure that the ambulance arrived, and [to make sure] oncoming traffic from both directions keeps on moving, instead of piling up, which would make our ambulance’s approach impossible completely.”<\/span><\/p>\n According to the LAPD, paramedics were called to an accident at Hobart and Los Feliz Boulevard around 5 p.m. after an e-bike rear ended a vehicle that was stopped at a red light. The e-bike rider was then transported to a local hospital with a severe head injury but was conscious and alert.<\/span><\/p>\n ET learned Monday morning that the son of\u00a0<\/span>Angelina Jolie<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Brad Pitt<\/a>\u00a0is on the mend.<\/span><\/p>\n “Pax has been released from the ICU,” <\/span>a close friend of the family told ET<\/a>. “He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy.”<\/span><\/p>\n ET has learned that the\u00a0<\/span>Maleficent\u00a0<\/span><\/em>star\u00a0is by her son’s side amid his healing journey and that his siblings have been helpful.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Brad and Angelina\u00a0<\/span>share three biological children<\/a>\u00a0—\u00a0 18-year-old Shiloh and 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — as well as three adopted children, sons Maddox, 22, and Pax, 20, and daughter Zahara, 19.<\/span><\/p>\n
