Over the past decade or so, the ceremony honoring the new Disney Legend inductees has been held at the D23 Expo.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like Comic-Con, but for just Disney stuff!<\/p>\n<p>This year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2022\/11\/miley-cyrus-disappears-from-social-media-amid-parents-divorce-sparks-concern-among-fans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"66\">Miley Cyrus is among<\/a> the 14 actors, musicians, entertainers, and more being honored at the event. It\u2019s poised to be the highlight of the expo, closing out the event on Sunday, Aug. 11.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Details of the event are kept very hush-hush; all that\u2019s known for sure is who will be inducted and that the event will be hosted by <a data-wpil-monitor-id=\"68\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/07\/vanna-white-ryan-seacrest-feud-wheel-of-fortune\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ryan Seacrest<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, musical guests who have been named Disney Legends in the past have performed before receiving their honor. From the <em>Hannah Montana<\/em> movie soundtrack, it\u2019s a song Miley herself has enjoyed performing on every tour since she retired the blonde wig.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But fans think it might be time to bust out a performance Miley hasn\u2019t done in nearly two decades.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The rumor is Miley might just perform the theme song to the Hannah Montana show, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C97fbZ7OD0V\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Best of Both Worlds<\/a>\u201c.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Now, again, nothing has been confirmed. But given the honor she\u2019s receiving, and the spectacular year she\u2019s having (remember that epic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/02\/tracy-chapman-grammys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grammy<\/a> win?), she might just be ready to throw it back to her roots.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Another song that she could confirm is Hannah\u2019s \u201cIf We Were A Movie\u201d. Just this past July, nearly 20 years since it released, the song went <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/hughmcintyre\/2024\/07\/02\/hannah-montana-is-still-winning-years-after-miley-cyrus-retired-her-alter-ego\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Platinum<\/a> in America. It\u2019s Montana\u2019s fifth platinum single to date. I have been in the public for more of my life than I haven\u2019t,\u201d she said. However, she still described her Disney years as \u201ca great, safe experience overall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey say that the creative adult is the child who survived. I worked really hard as a child,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed she did. Miley also recognized how much of her adult success is tied to her childhood persona.
