The 23-year-old model and musician spoke out amid growing rumours the band was set to get together again \u2013 as the 30th anniversary of their debut album \u2018Definitely, Maybe\u2019 is set to be marked with a re-release at the end of August.<\/p>\n
He told The Times: \u201cI get the feeling my dad wants it, too. Let\u2019s hope it happens. It\u2019s easier to speak about after a couple of pints.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gene added after saying the reunion is \u201cnothing to do with\u201d: \u201cI mean, will they? I don\u2019t know. I would love it but it\u2019s so beyond my control.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also added his and 51-year-old Liam\u2019s all-time favourite Oasis song is \u2018Wonderwall\u2019, despite the rocker\u2019s estranged brother Noel, 57, often playing the song live and solo.<\/p>\n
\nTalk of an Oasis reunion was recently heightened by a post from the official Oasis X account that shared aerial footage of a large house on the banks of a river in the countryside \u2013 which only turned out to be a teaser for the release of new limited edition album formats.<\/p>\n
\nGene also told how he is close friends with Noel\u2019s 24-year-old daughter Ana\u00efs Gallagher.<\/p>\n
\nLiam has told The Guardian there was \u201cno way\u201d Oasis would disappear into obscurity insisting: \u201cThere\u2019s no way I\u2019m letting Oasis turn into one of these (groups) where you just wrap an album in cellophane every 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNoel said in 2022 a \u201cset of extraordinary circumstances\u201d would be required for Oasis to reform and has said if Liam called him it could be on the table.<\/p>\n
\nBut he interrupted one of his solo gigs in Halifax last week to have a pop at Liam.<\/p>\n
\nHe told the crowd: \u201cWhat is happening with Liam next year? I don\u2019t know. You tell me.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhy, is something going on? Is there? Liam is touring? He\u2019s touring. Oh right. Well, he should be very thankful for my genius.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAre you going to go see him? Just remember who wrote all the f****** songs.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
