A little silver lining? Sister Wives<\/em><\/a> star Gwendlyn Brown<\/strong><\/a> found an unexpected bright side to the aftermath of her parents\u2019 split<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a> and Christine Brown<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s 21-year-old daughter shared an exciting social media achievement via her Instagram Story on Thursday, December 15. \u201cWhen your parents get divorced and you get their leftover fame,\u201d she joked alongside a screenshot of her Instagram profile, which featured a blue checkmark next to her name. \u201cVerified bitches.\u201d<\/p>\n The TLC stars announced in November 2021<\/a> that they were calling it quits after more than 25 years together. \u201cWe will continue to be a strong presence in each other\u2019s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family,\u201d Christine, 50, captioned an Instagram statement at the time.<\/p>\n The Wyoming native, 53, shared in a message of his own: \u201cChristine\u2019s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans of the reality series watched the fallout from the pair\u2019s split<\/a> throughout season 17, which concluded on Sunday, December 11. During Us Weekly<\/em>\u2018s exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming Sister Wives: One-on-One<\/em> special<\/a>, Kody took aim at his ex, whom he spiritually wed in 1994.<\/p>\n \u201cInitially, my issue was, I thought Christine was playing a game,\u201d he said in the clip. \u201cAnd so, I was ambivalent. From the time we were married [there was] manipulation. Pouting. Temper tantrums. Just behavior things.\u201d<\/p>\n The Cooking With Just Christine<\/em> star, meanwhile, argued that Kody was often \u201ccomparing\u201d his relationships<\/a> with his other spouses. \u201cI think for him he would be fine if we just had a platonic, completely not even friends [relationship],\u201d she added. \u201cThat\u2019s not a marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n Along with Gwendlyn, the former couple share son Paedon<\/strong>, 24, and daughters Aspyn<\/strong>, 27, Mykelti<\/strong>, 26, Ysabel<\/strong>, 19, and Truely<\/strong>, 12<\/a>. Following their breakup, Christine moved from Arizona<\/a> to her home state of Utah with the duo\u2019s youngest child.<\/p>\n When Christine left the polygamist family, Kody was still spiritually married to Meri Brown<\/strong><\/a> and Janelle Brown<\/strong><\/a>, with whom he shares a combined seven children<\/a>. He is also legally wed to Robyn Brown<\/strong><\/a>, and the twosome share five kids.<\/p>\n The Brown brood has continued to be shaken up, however. Janelle, 53, and Kody confirmed in the teaser for the Sister Wives<\/em> tell-all special<\/a> that they have been \u201cseparated for several months.\u201d In a separate clip, Meri, 51, revealed she and the businessman ended their marriage after 32 years<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt just doesn\u2019t make sense to me that he would be so frustrated with Christine and be like, \u2018She just made this decision. We didn\u2019t consult. We didn\u2019t talk.\u2019 \u2026 And then he says, \u2018No, I don\u2019t consider myself married to Meri<\/a>,’\u201d she said. \u201cHe just made the decision. I have never heard him say that to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Before he was left with only one wife, a source exclusively told Us<\/em> that Christine\u2019s choice to leave had an impact<\/a> on Kody\u2019s other partners. \u201cIf anything, it sort of inspired the others in one way or another to reevaluate their position,\u201d the insider said in November 2021.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
