Nicholas Braun appeared in the original movie Princess Protection Program in 2009 before snagging a role in HBO\u2019s Succession. Braun revealed that his experience on Disney Channel was hard to handle at the time. \u201cThe opportunities to be the lead [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cMy soul was falling to the pits of hell,\u201d he begins. \u201cAs I hit the ground in hell, I was surrounded by hundreds of thousands of demons who are mocking me and laughing at me and torturing me.\u201d<\/p>\n
The intensity of the experience left Bassett wanting to escape, but was stopped by someone overseeing the trip. Seeking relief, he stepped outside and shared, \u201cI look up and I see Jesus in the sky.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bassett said the next six months were the worst of his life, filled with \u201cconfusion\u201d and drug addiction. The Disney star said he was \u201ccompletely lost\u201d until one day he set out to meditate and \u201cfelt the Holy Spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI just knew in that moment I needed Jesus,\u201d he said, adding that he immediately called his father and they prayed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI literally can not express to you the peace that I felt in that moment. Every path I was going down looking for peace I found the moment I accepted Jesus,\u201d he expressed. \u201cDespite mocking God in interviews, despite me saying \u2018That\u2019s totally wrong, my family is crazy.\u2019 I thought my family was dumb. I thought every Christian was dumb\u2026 and then I had an encounter with the actual, living God.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m literally jumping for joy like I was a child again,\u201d he added. \u201cSome would say, \u2018You were having a manic episode,\u2019 but I\u2019m telling you right now it was not.\u201d<\/p>\n
Since the encounter, Bassett said he wants to share his faith with everyone but acknowledges the challenges, recognizing that it can be a sensitive topic.<\/p>\n
Bassett also shared personal experiences that have solidified his beliefs, such as a light spontaneously turning on in his home after he asked God for a sign, and a comforting moment in a church when someone placed a hand on his back after he silently prayed for it.<\/p>\n
