Olympic medalist MyKayla Skinner<\/strong><\/a> has been quiet since her former teammate Simone Biles<\/strong> <\/a>seemingly threw shade at her<\/a> while celebrating Team USA\u2019s success at the 2024 Paris Olympics<\/a>, but her husband, Jonas Harmer<\/strong>, shared a glimpse of what she\u2019s been up to amid the drama.<\/p>\n

Harmer, 27, took to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 30, to share videos of Skinner, also 27, at what appeared to be a kids\u2019 gymnastics camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cNew friends >,\u201d the American Ninja Warrior<\/em> alum captioned a clip of his wife walking arm in arm with three young girls around a camp. In other clips, Skinner could be seen eating ice cream, chatting with campers and hugging several girls in a gymnastics center.<\/p>\n

\u201cReal life >,\u201d Harmer captioned a video of Skinner in the gym.<\/p>\n

The posts came just hours after Biles, 27, raised eyebrows with an Instagram post<\/a> that seemingly nodded to Skinner.<\/p>\n

\u201cLack of talent, lazy, olympic champions,\u201d Biles captioned a photo of herself holding up an American flag alongside teammates Suni Lee<\/strong>, Jordan Chiles<\/strong>, Jade Carey<\/strong> and Hezly Rivera<\/strong> after they took home the gold medal<\/a> in the women\u2019s gymnastics team final on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Fans quickly noticed the similarities between Biles\u2019 caption and remarks that Skinner made in a since-deleted YouTube video late last month.<\/p>\n

\u201cBesides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn\u2019t what it used to be. I mean, obviously, a lot of girls don\u2019t work as hard. The girls just don\u2019t have the work ethic,\u201d Skinner said at the time.<\/p>\n

Skinner added that the U.S. Center for SafeSport, an independent organization responding to \u201csexual, physical and emotional\u201d abuse in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic movement, makes it harder for coaches to push their athletes to greatness.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs Team USA takes on the 2024 Paris Olympics, the American athletes have already made an impression at the summer Games. The 2024 Olympics kicked off on Friday, July 26, with an illustrious opening ceremony that took place entirely outdoors on the River Seine and featured performances from the likes of Celine Dion and Lady [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cCoaches can\u2019t get on athletes, which in some ways is really good, but at the same time, to get to where you need to be in gymnastics you do have to be \u2026 a little aggressive, a little intense,\u201d Skinner said.<\/p>\n

Biles was one of many gymnasts to testify against Larry Nassar<\/strong>, the former USA Gymnastics doctor whose serial sexual abuse of athletes under the guise of medical treatment led to the creation of the U.S. Center for Safesport. She seemed to react to Skinner\u2019s comments via Threads on July 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot everyone needs a mic and a platform,\u201d Biles wrote.<\/p>\n

Skinner later apologized for her statements, saying that they were \u201cmisinterpreted\u201d and claiming she \u201cwasn\u2019t always necessarily [talking] about the current team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biles isn\u2019t the only one who subtly called out Skinner this week. Former USA gymnastics team member McKayla Maroney<\/strong> commented on Biles\u2019 Tuesday Instagram post, writing, \u201cIt doesn\u2019t get more iconic than this. She f\u2019d around n found out fr. Feels like I need to apologize just to redeem my first name<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
