Former President Donald Trump<\/a> made inflammatory remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris<\/a> at the National Association of Black Journalists convention Wednesday, questioning her biracial background.<\/p>\n

Harris is Black and Indian American. When asked if he agreed with comments from some Republicans who claim Harris has political power because of \u201cdiversity, equity, and inclusion,\u201d Trump falsely suggested Harris has changed how she discussed her racial identity.<\/p>\n

This is how things went. Donald Trump on whether Kamala Harris is a \u201cDEI hire,\u201d as some Republicans have said:<\/p>\n

\u201cShe happened to turn Black. \u2026 She was Indian all the way and all of a sudden she made a turn and she became a Black woman.\u201d<\/p>\n
