Austin Butler<\/strong><\/a> has booked his next project, following his huge role as Elvis<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> reports that the -year-old actor is set to star in City on Fire<\/em><\/strong>, from Sony 3000 Pictures.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more…<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The outlet says that Austin <\/strong>will not only star, but produce the project, with David Heyman <\/strong>and Shane Salerno<\/strong>. <\/p>\n The novel from Don Winslow<\/strong>, is the first in a trilogy of books, and focuses on two criminal empires \u2014 one Irish, the other Italian \u2014 that control all of New England.<\/p>\n Austin <\/strong>is set to portray Danny Ryan, who is forced to grow from a street soldier into a ruthless leader to protect his friends, his family and the home he loves. Fighting the Mafia, the local cops and the feds, Danny intends to build a dynasty or die trying. <\/p>\n The “City on Fire” novel was just released last year, with the second, “City of Dreams” coming out in just a few weeks.<\/p>\n “Like so many people around the world, I was amazed by Austin Butler\u2019s Oscar-nominated performance in Elvis<\/em>,\u201d Don <\/strong>said of Austin <\/strong>joining the project. “I\u2019ve had a number of conversations with Austin about this trilogy that I\u2019ve been working on for almost 30 years of my life, and I have been deeply impressed by his commitment to playing Danny Ryan as well as his passion to also produce the three films with David and Shane and Elizabeth [Gabler] and Marisa [Paiva].”<\/p>\n Following his Oscar run, Austin<\/strong> had some downtime which he spent with girlfriend Kaia Gerber<\/strong><\/a>.
