Jax Taylor<\/a> is working on himself for his son. One day after <\/span>ET confirmed<\/a> that the\u00a0<\/span>Vanderpump Rules<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>alum was seeking in-patient treatment for mental health, Jax broke his silence on Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n The reality star, 45, shared a photo of himself kissing his smiling son, Cruz. Jax shares 3-year-old Cruz with estranged wife\u00a0<\/span>Brittany Cartwright<\/a>. The Bravo stars tied the knot in 2019 and\u00a0<\/span>went public with their separation<\/a>\u00a0in February.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Working on getting better for you buddy, I love you,” Jax wrote alongside the sweet pic.<\/span><\/p>\n On July 30, Jax’s rep <\/span>confirmed his client’s decision to seek help<\/a>, telling ET, “Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast.”<\/span><\/p>\n “He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment,” the rep said of the <\/span>When Reality Hits<\/em><\/a>\u00a0podcast host. “This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Fans witnessed\u00a0<\/span>the deterioration of Jax and Brittany’s relationship<\/a> during season 1 of the\u00a0<\/span>VPR<\/span><\/em>\u00a0spinoff,\u00a0<\/span>The Valley<\/em><\/a>. On <\/span>the show’s season finale<\/a>, Brittany revealed that she decided to leave Jax and move out of their shared home after a particularly volatile argument.<\/span><\/p>\n “I just kind of hit this point where I started noticing everything that he did to me. It just hit me like a ton of bricks or something. And then I was just kind of like, ‘What am I doing? Why am I here?'” Brittany told her friends, before adding in a confessional,\u00a0“I’ve come into my own. I make a lot of money. I just feel like I have woken up. I feel so much stronger now. I know I’ll be OK. I know my worth, and I know I do not deserve to be in a relationship like this. What was I thinking, staying with him this long?”<\/span><\/p>\n As for where their relationship stands today,\u00a0<\/span>Jax revealed<\/a>\u00a0in May that he and Brittany\u00a0have agreed to see other people\u00a0amid their separation.<\/span><\/p>\n The following month,\u00a0<\/span>Jax tweeted<\/a>\u00a0in the middle of the night, claiming that Brittany had been sleeping with someone else for four months. He quickly deleted the social media post, though.<\/span><\/p>\n
