Tesla\u2019s Model Y will look a lot different on the back and inside after its rumored redesign if new photos of the leaked \u201cJuniper\u201d model are to be believed. A user on Reddit shared the images<\/a>, which include a close-up of the rear of what appears to be an updated Model Y with its security covers<\/a> removed, revealing a red light bar with the word \u201cTesla\u201d running across the hatch. The current model has more traditional taillights on the left and right, with a simple \u201cT\u201d logo in the center.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Another photo shows the interior of the car, which now appears to have seats that are perforated for ventilation, just like in the fully redesigned Model 3, as reported by Not a Tesla App<\/a>. There\u2019s also an interior ambient light strip running across the dash and doors that\u2019s similar to what\u2019s inside the Chinese Model Y<\/a>. It was suspected that a new Model Y would just copy the updated Model 3\u2019s taillights with tines and squinty headlights. (The front has not been unveiled in this leak.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n From the beginning, the Model 3 and Y shared many of the same components and lacked much distinction in terms of design. Now, it looks like you\u2019ll finally be able to tell the two apart at a quick glance, although the rest of the Model Y interior might still end up looking just like the Model 3. Hopefully, the new Model Y won\u2019t copy the stalk-free driving experience from the Model 3 (and the S, X, and Cybertruck) that JD Power reported<\/a> customers seem to hate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
